Let me preface this review by saying that I've lived all over the country - LA, Houston, KCMO, NYC...and have had REAAAAALLY good Chinese, and can be a bit of a snob. I'm new to RC, and was wanting Chinese. I tried another local spot, and ended up throwing more than half of the food away, it was that unimpressive. I'd been hesitant about Dragon Buffet, as I'd never seen any cars there when I'd drive past. Tonight, I pulled the trigger - put in an order for pick up, and hoped for the best. When I pulled up, there were 6 vehicles there, but unable to be viewed from the road as the "front" door is facing away from the main road. I went in, and it wasn't busy busy, but numerous people there enjoying the buffet. About 25 people. Good sign. The woman at the register was very nice, and I waited only a few minutes for my order. Made the 15 minute drive home, pulled everything out of the bag, and HOLY COW! Not only was it literally steaming hot, the portions were HUGE!! All of my containers were not only quite large, but they were stuffed full! I tried a piece of chicken from my Sesame Chicken, first. Not only did it taste very good, but the coating was crispy! AND unlike many other places that just throw sesame seeds on Sweet & Sour chicken/Orange Chicken, and call it good, the sauce on this was everything I expected. Wonderful! I immediately ate 3 or 4 more pieces. Opened up the Chicken Lo Mein, tried a piece of the chicken, and it was beyond tender. The noodles were phenomenal, too. I was curious about the fried rice - tried a big bite, and it was very flavorful! Of course, the real test was the egg roll. I hate a mushy egg roll. It was nicely crisp on the outside, though a little bland on the inside - but not mushy! A little sweet sauce and hot mustard helped there. Overall, Dragon Buffet faaaar exceeded my expectations! Bonus: the portions are so generous, I'll get two more meals from the leftovers- 3 meals for just over $30? What a steal! I definitely recommend this Chinese restaurant, and I'll not hesitate to order again. Given this is a small town in the Midwest, they are worth the...

Read moreI got the combination General Tso's Chicken with beef fried rice. Comes with an egg roll. The egg roll and fried rice was the only thing that I would consider edible. The chicken in the General Tso had so many tough pieces and possibly not cooked all the way through as many of the chicken chunks were very large. The beef in the fried rice had a stringy piece inside of it, as if the beef was not cut properly. Quite unappealing. Personally, I would not recommend, and will not...
