Farmers Home Tavern — Restaurant in Richland Township

I love this place. Everytime I visit Hemlock, I make sure to make my way over to Farmers. The employees there are amazing. I'm always greeted with love when I walk in. By employees and the regulars. The food there is sooo good. I recommend the cheeseburger of course. They are huge and worth every penny. My favorite burger there is the pineapple express burger. It comes with Pineapple, swiss cheese, bacon and teriyaki. Melts in your mouth. My other go to there are the bone in wings! My sons favorite are the mozzarella sticks. Everytime he always asking to go the green place so he can get cheese sticks and to see the cook Logan his buddy, lol. It's my sons favorite place because the cook Adam will give my kids ice cream at the end or some money to get some candy from the candy machine. My Daughter refuses to go to McDonalds if we are in Hemlock because she'd rather have a cheeseburger from Farmers. I love the atmosphere there. Pretty laid back. Was there yesterday 1/13/19. Green pepper soup was good n hot. I ordered cheeseburger. Potato wedges and onion rings. Everything was good n hot. But i ordered onion n mayo on my burger. It came out onion n mustard. My server i think her name was courtney. Young brunette with peirceing in her face. ( i only mention this to idenify her as she was nice ) but i said i ordered mayo n she said oh they must have misread my abbreviation. The ticket on my bill showed a o and a m. On the burger. Mayo wud be at least ma or may so i dont fault the cook. I guess my point is she offered nothing. No im sorry. No ill have them make you another. So i ate it. Make no mistake it was a great burger mut mustard overpowered the whole thing. Will i eat there again? Absolutely it was great but the server seemed indifferent to the burger being served wrong. Farmer's burgers are wonderful. They are big, flavorful, and consistent. The last part is hard to find in a tavern setting. I know what I am getting every time I order a burger and it always satisfies. They have a friendly no-nonsense staff that does not crumble under pressure during their busy evenings. The interior is the only thing keeping it back from a full five stars. It is tight quarters and definitely a "local farm tavern" feel. It doesn't necessarily need to be updated inside, because they get by just fine, but it could benefit from a redesign and upgraded tables/chairs. This is the only real knock I have against Farmers, which isn't a big one at all. I felt it was necessary to mention it though for anyone unfamiliar with the Hemlock area.
