12/29/24 Returned with my wife to drink Horchata in December, like the song by Vampire Weekend đ It is just as delicious as last time! Man, I kind of forgot how good it is! I got the Molcajete and she got the Alambres. Yum đ To start, this place has a truly unique menu. I've never heard of "green mole," or verde mole, and there's many other unique menu items. Service is friendly and attentive, we never had to ask for refills. We started with the queso dip and the elotes, or street corn. The queso is clearly better than the queso from On The Border, and the street corn is wonderful! My entree was the seafood chimichanga. It was so good! Great texture and flavor and perfectly cooked and seasoned. I saved some of the queso and poured it over, which made it even better! And finally dessert: Tres Leches Cake. It was delicious, and a good sized slice too! Overall a very nice addition...
Read moreWe were highly disappointed in all of the food we had as well as all of the service. Everyone we encountered that worked there seemed like they absolutely hated their job and didn't want to be there. I was shocked to see tinga on their menu. Not a very common item to see on the menu at Mexican restaurants. Given its actually an authentic Mexican dish. However first bite told me that it certainly was nothing even close to what tinga is supposed to taste like. The corn tortilla was cold. The chicken was cold with absolutely no flavor. The al pastor burrito I had was a mix match of flavors that simply didn't go together. That was slightly cold too. My wife was very disappointed with her food as well. Only two positives I can say is the restaurant was clean for most part and the guacamole was fairly decent. Overall extremely dissatisfied...
Read moreThis place is great! Our waitress Daniella was attentive, always smiling, friendly, and intuitive. We loved the decor of colors chosen. It just feels very happy here.
The food is really good. I ordered the Burrito Majado with barbacoa, my wife ordered the mole and loved it. My son ordered the Enchiladas Dinner and finished before the plate settled on the table. My daughter ordered the Beef Chimichanga. My son doesn't like lettuce and the waitress placed it and other vegetables on a side plate for us to share and guacamole on the side from my daughter's meal. We enjoyed being here and will definitely return.
So, why 4 stars and not 5? The bathrooms needs a little more attention. It was not in bad shape, but the walls need a little work and the floor was sticky. It's a small enough space that this will not be much...
