El Tapatio — Restaurant in Richmond

Customer service today was the worst ever. No one greeted me however they greeted everyone else. Ordered 7 seas soup with water and was never asked what kind of tortilla would I prefer.

Soup was orange which is strange because Ive always had red broth in my soup.

Flavor was good but the presentation looked all thrown together.

Server was not attentive at all never asked me if I was enjoying my meal or if I needed anything.

Havent been here in 2 years and cystomer service and food quality has went down hill.

Waiting 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge I wanted to take the food to go. She did offer the food in the to go container because I barely ate anything.

Dont know if I lost my appetite from the presentation of the food or if the customer service affected my appetite.

This place used to be good in the 1990's when we would come here during and after Richmond High with decent quality meat especially the chicken that they used was real chicken. Now the taco truk has gone downhill. I'm not sure what type of mystery meat they use now to pass off as chicken but it was not good. I stopped by the taco trucc at midnight since everything else was closed. I ordered a chicken burrito and each bite I took was full of nasty cartilage. Basically each chomp I had was busy spitting out nasty chunks of cartilage. The quality of meat is disgusting. Even my friend threw her chicken tacos away because she kept biting into chicken cartilage. R.I.P 1990's...

I don’t remember this place being so rude I used to order from here all the time when I lived closer. Called to place an order because I was close by. Spoke with someone told them I wish to place an order for pick up started to place my order the lady then asked me if I can hold on I said yes after being on hold for 5 minutes their phone hung up on me tried calling back about 10 times no one answered the phone. I guess business wasn’t good enough for them. Which sucks was really looking forward to eating there. But that’s over and done with never again.
