Veterans Memorial Hall — Attraction in Richmond

The place is pretty old little bit outdated but clean kind of homey atmosphere inside . I wouldn't recommend going to vote there because they have poor security if any there's people hassling you with pamphlets trying to sway your vote at the driveway and even a few at the door witches is illegal it seems like the Richmond police do nothing about it and do very little to get rid of the ladies of the evening That Hangout in front of the veterans hall in middle of night ! This year I attended a Day of dead festival a the the veterans hall they had a clown and a Dead Quincecea contest plus Aztec dancers party...

We rented this hall twice. Once for my father's 60th and our tradition wedding. The location was great for both events since we live near by. The issues we had was getting our deposit back. He claimed that we scratch up the floors and whatnot. Which I know we didn't do. We left everything as how we first saw it. Art also claimed that we didn't put the chairs back. Again which we did. He pretty much blame us for things we didn't do to keep the deposit. So don't expect to get your deposit back if you going to rent this location. Oh yea, just be warned. Both men and women bathroom is waaay...

Went there on Thanksgiving Day for lunch. Got there maybe 12:30-ish. Had my dog with me so was handed two plastic boxed meals. Surprise! No turkey, no mashed potatoes, no pie. Just a couple of small ham hocks, canned green beans, maybe cornbread. Small bottles of H2O....
