JC Desserts — Restaurant in Richmond

I had the pleasure of tasting Cronuts a couple of months ago. They were perfectly lite and tasty. Just the right size so I thought until TODAY!!! I got word that these Cronuts were going to be up for order for a limited time while driving. My mouths memory had me pull over to the side of the road and order immediately… fast forward to pick up… I was greeted at the door by the man himself and was presented with TWO black boxes. One box had the Cinnamon Cronuts, the other box had the original flavor that I had tasted before which is Summer Glaze. When I opened the box it was an instant delight to see these Cronuts doubled in size. Both flavors are delicious and just as lite as the smaller versions!! Each box left the parking lot with 10 in the box instead of the dozen!! I advise you to keep your eyes and ears open for the next order! It is worth every penny for the Celebration you will have with each bite in your mouth!!!!...

Highly recommend the Carrot cake and croughnuts. The carrot cake is honestly the most elegant cake I've ever had- incredibly rich, perfect flavor, and it was gorgeous. Similarly, the croughnuts are phenomenal- sweet and airy.

The only thing that could have been a negative resulted in the experience being even better.

I've worked in customer service/food service for decades. No matter how good you are, things will go wrong. I don't judge by mistakes but by the actions to make it right. There had been a few challenges with my order/pickup time needing to be moved around. I'm pretty patient, but it was inconvenient. Justin kept in contact with me and apologized genuinely for the inconvenience. We had been dying to try JC Desserts ever since we saw Justin on the baking show. I ordered the chocolate's, mix and matching the available flavors for a friends birthday. Her exact words were "they are almost to beautiful to eat but that didn't stop me. They were delicious and super high quality." In the same week I ordered the Raspberry Blackout cake for my fiance's birthday. I wasn't expecting to see/meet Justin when getting the cake, so I ended up having a fan girl moment. Sorry about that Justin. Haha! The cake was AMAZING! It was gorgeous and delicious down to the very last slice. We are totally hooked now.
