Soccer field is next to the skate park which is close to the basketball one. On the other side of the bathrooms that has homeless folks living in them is the kids playground and tennis field. People smoking weed in the middle of the day around kids and although there’s plenty or trash and shaded areas with picnic tables. This is def not a park for anyone with disabilities. There’s no track or side walk that connects one thing from the next. Quiet neighborhood and ice cream truck did come by. No exercise equipment or places for anyone to walk. Overall a great gem for a big family that plays different sports to have a day out and picnic.

Went to check out the skate park early on a Saturday morning. I was the only person there. It's pretty standard, a half pipe drop in, kicker box, and a couple moveable rails. Good condition on the concrete, hardly any cracks and its smooth. I'd imagine gets a bit crowded at peak hours. Rest of the park is clean and well kept. Few people walking dogs. No parking in the park though, just park on the street and walk in.

This park is old and charming in a way, but very unkempt and in dire need of an update, which supposedly is coming soon. The park has a wide variety of facilities, but many of them are closed or in disrepair. The food forest in the back of the park is a nice contrast to the concrete wasteland and very cozy.

Carter Jones Park is an absolute gem in the heart of Richmond! This park offers something for everyone, making it a perfect spot for families, fitness enthusiasts, and nature lovers alike. The well-maintained playground is a hit with the kids, and the expansive green spaces are ideal for picnics and outdoor activities. The walking trails are beautifully scenic, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The park’s facilities are clean and well-kept, and there’s ample parking available. I especially appreciate the community events that are often hosted here, fostering a strong sense of neighborhood camaraderie. The recent improvements have made it even more inviting, with updated amenities and enhanced landscaping.

Overall, Carter Jones Park is a fantastic place to spend a sunny afternoon. Whether you’re looking to relax, exercise, or enjoy some quality time with loved ones, this park has it all....
