Don’t let the neighborhood discourage you!! Don’t let the outside fool you!! Don’t let the clients inside or even the workers change your mind!! You HAVE to try this place!!! The food was AMAZING!! I had to drive 15 min and pay a toll to get here but it was worth it!! I regret nothing!! Based off of the other reviews and pictures I bought the chicken and lamb rice. It was so good I thought I was going to cry! I do not like tomatoes or cucumbers, but I ate them this time with that wonderful white sauce they put on it!! Another review mentioned the sauce has a twang but it’s very slight and more than likely from Greek yogurt. The sauce perfectly compliments the heavier seasoning of the rice and meats and the salad with the cucumber and tomatoes is a welcome palate cleanse. My cousin lives nearby (read 20 minutes) and I WILL be making my way back here frequently. P.S. get the peach watermelon faygo soda, the drink comes with the food....

Service was bad. Asked for fresh chicken ninety minutes before they closed and was denied... I'm from BROOKLYN. down here visiting family as usual. I'm not particular on "fresh food". The chicken in the warmer looked horrible. It looked Refried and left out. With the window open. Literally. I didn't see a health grade but I doubt it's over a low B high c. Extremely upset. Was ordered to make my order on a tablet but when a shapely women came in the gentleman at the register definitely felt a need to assist her. Even though her order was already placed. Buddy looked at me and felt dumb. They didn't have what I wanted on the kiosk and he had to take my order...

Got the 3 piece chicken thinking it was a safe choice. Over cooked, dry and tasted as if it was leftover a few days. I think my family enjoyed their salad and steak sub. We added some chicken wings that tasted fine. Macaroni and cheese was not good at all. Looked old and very (artificially) orange. Deserts were fine though. Most places we go the deserts esp cake are usually stale. We had cheesecake and swt potato pie, very small though. Collard greens were very good. Will give them another chance but I will not be ordering the chicken pieces again. They also forgot my roll which is supposed to come...
