To start off this review im going to say, the staff was friendly, was greeted and they checked on our table to make sure we were all set. Now to discuss some of the issues i encountered, my guest and I ordered some water to start with and it was not drinkable, it had a strong metallic taste to it as if the faucet where the water came from was extremely old/dirty or maybe Ridgefield doesn't have great water but i would definitely invest in some kind of filtration system or get spring water for customers. I ordered the crab ravioli and i found it to be below average, the big issue for me was how strong the citrus lemon taste was, it over powered the dish. The ravioli shells were under cook and the crab meat didn't have much flavor. I also think having it served in a puddle of this sauce is way too much and not visually pleasant, i suggest drizzling the sauce on the ravioli instead of having it sit in a puddle. The sauce itself is fine and can compliment the dish really well. Finally i ordered a coffee and it was okay, typical diner/cafe coffee more on the light side and i prefer stronger coffee but i won't put fault on the restaurant for it. The restaurant was clean walking in and did have that nice mom and pop atmosphere which i love. Overall it's not a place that i would suggest to friends or family nor be eager to come back but if you looking for a quick bite to eat while driving around here...
Read moreWooster Hollow Cafe is BY FAR my favorite place to eat. The breakfast food here is above all other restaurants in my opinion, and I actually find myself CRAVING their chocolate chip pancakes. 🍪 The staff is absolutely amazing and are always on top of things and kind natured. The food always comes out hot and quick, just the way I like it! The atmosphere is also VERY pleasant. I love the artwork they hang up on their walls of various new artists looking to sell their work. It is like eating in a beautiful contemporary art gallery (artists are ever-changing too so there is always something new to look forward to). Ron is a great owner who extends himself to make every customer's experience pleasant. He has also gone above and beyond during the pandemic to help others during these hard times. A huge shoutout to Manny, Jason, Domenica, and Wilson who are just THE BEST staff members who make the experience THAT much more special every visit. I highly recommend...
Read moreVisited for a birthday brunch, just myself, the lady, and our baby. We were seated quickly on a Tuesday at 11am. This visit was quite a bit better than the last visit which occurred on a weekend day, where we sat outside in the back. Last visit, many items came out cold, like coffee and 2 parts of 2 meals, service was very slow and hard to get attention. This visit, the food was quite fast, very delicious and service notably faster, though our waitress didn't check on us. We flagged another server to help us out. The cubano was near perfect, I forgot to check for the roasted pork slice as a Cubano should include, I felt like it wasn't there, but hard to tell, I devoured it entirely too fast. My wife's coffee came out hot and her egg, avocado toast salady looking thing was reportedly excellent as well. Will definitely visit again, but likely only on a weekday. Weekend business and overcrowding can hint to how good a place is, but only if the...
