Dear [Mayor's I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a troubling experience my family and I had while visiting a Chinese buffet in Ridgeland, SC.

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a staff member who had limited proficiency in English and required us to pay in advance. Initially, we were puzzled by this policy, but it soon became apparent that it was likely implemented to prevent customers from leaving due to the poor quality of food served.

Unfortunately, the dining experience was far from satisfactory. The food was overcooked and emitted an unpleasant odor, and the meat appeared unrecognizable, raising concerns about its quality and safety. My mother-in-law felt unwell, and the children were visibly distressed, while my wife and I found it impossible to enjoy our meal.

We chose not to consume any food and requested a refund, but the owner feigned a lack of understanding in English, which further complicated the situation. The atmosphere was unsettling, with loud Chinese music playing in the kitchen and odd sounds that added to our discomfort.

I urge you to look into this matter, as it poses a risk not only to the health and safety of local residents but also to the reputation of Ridgeland as a welcoming destination for tourists.

My brother placed an order for me to go pick up for 2 meats and 2 rices and some egg rolls and a small order of fried scallops 95 dollar’s ridiculous. Lady was extremely rude and she pushed my arms off the counter. My brother called to see why so expensive and the man hung up on him. Got back to the house. Not to mention she had store bought cashews and poured them on my cashew chicken. Got back to my house. My family and I started to eat our food and there was a piece of hair in not only my food but my brothers food as well. I would not suggest you eat here unless you want nasty food and nasty...

I was a little nervous to try this restaurant because of the reviews, but local friends had said they enjoyed the food so we gave it a try. It's drive-thru only right now. There's a menu posted on the front of the building that we looked at first, then pulled up to the window to order, then they brought the food out to the truck in about 10 minutes (wearing a mask).

Service was friendly, portions were good, food was hot and flavorful, and my husband commented on how much chicken there was in his dish. We were pleased and will definitely eat here again next time we get a craving for...
