Decided to stop in Saturday afternoon and see if this place lived up to all that I had been hearing about it. When I arrived, I was told to go down and order at the register at the other end, which I didn't quite understand because there was nobody at either register. I placed my order for egg salad on a toasted everything bagel. I also bought a black and white cookie and a small strawberry lemonade in a bottle.
It was there about 1:30 PM, right before they closed. It was not crowded. However, as I was waiting for my to-go order, I noticed that all the people who came in after me and placed their orders to dine in, were getting their orders before me. I had to ask several times about what was taking mine so long to make. They kept telling me it would only be a few more minutes, but orders kept coming out for people who ordered AFTER me. It didn't make any sense. There was plenty of egg salad and bagels.
I am curious if their policy is to serve customers eating in first. It was very frustrating.
I will say when I finally got my order and took it home, I did enjoy my bagel sandwich. I don't recall if I've ever eaten a bagel from NY or not, but I did like the texture and flavor of this one. The egg salad was nicely seasoned, too. I didn't care for the black and white cookie, though, which I normally LOVE. The strawberry lemonade was tasty, but $4 for such a small bottle was a bit pricey.
I will go back and give it another try, since I did really enjoy my bagel. But this time, I will plan to eat in and see if I get better service...
Read more5 Stars 🌟 Finally, something fresh and different in our area — a real bagel shop and deli that actually brings something new to the table. For the first time, we have a spot that feels like a slice of New York right here in South Carolina. The passion, hard work, and guts it took for the owners to leave their careers and pour everything into this place is something to be respected, not torn down.
It’s pretty wild to see people go out of their way to criticize a locally owned business that just opened its doors. We had nothing like this before — no New York-style bagels, no delis with this vibe, nothing even close. And now that we do have one, some folks are rushing to trash it? If you don’t like it, simply don’t go. But trying to tear down people who took a huge risk to bring something new and exciting to our community just says more about you than about the bagels.
To the owners: thank you for creating this space. Keep going — many of us see you, appreciate you, and are cheering you on. To the haters: maybe next time, spend less time typing reviews and more time reflecting on why you’re so pressed about a bagel.
Trying to tear down good people doing good work? That’s not a vibe. Support local, or go back to...
Read moreNosh is the real deal - authentic NY bagels and so much more! Thrilled to have this great new addition to the lowcountry - easily accessible with its storefront facing 170 in Riverwalk.
From the moment we entered, the attention to detail was evident in the perfectly executed decor and branding - the caliber and quality of food selection was equally exceptional.
We’ve now visited multiple times and have had a hard time narrowing down food selections each time - each visit so far, we’ve requested recommendations from the staff and have been blown away each time! So far we’ve tried the Loxsmith (a must!) - also fantastic: egg salad on a cheddar jalapeño bagel, Uncle Leo and of course the pork roll! Our son loved the nightingale ice cream sandwich (of course, we did too!).
While we haven’t gotten past the incredible bagel sandwiches yet, love that Nosh also has a great salad offering - another serious need in the area - real ingredient healthy food options!
Looking forward to working our way through the entire menu as we pick up our weekly bagel and cream cheese supply!
Wishing this wonderful business many years of continued success serving many long awaited...
