Nachos Mexican Dining — Restaurant in Rifle

I very rarely give a low rating to businesses but I did not have a good experience at Nachos. The staff was friendly but seemed overwhelmed even without a crowd (we arrived before 5). Since it was Cinco de Mayo I wanted a margarita but they only have pre-mixed oddly colored and flavored margaritas with awful tequila. Since this wasn't an option, we ordered Pina Coladas. Boy what a mistake - super-sweet and no alcohol to speak of. The chips and salsa on the table were something even a gringo could "make" at home (bag and jar). When the food arrived (Chile Rellenos) it had unmelted cheese and appeared to be microwaved. Both my date and I took a few bites then boxed up our food. I seriously underestimated that place. I walked by it so many times thinking nothing of it. I finally decided to go in there and was blown away. I really wish I'd have been much more hungry. The absolute best asada chimichanga I've ever had. It looked so good I was hesitant to start eating it. A woman walked by and said what is he having and had to get it. The smallest details were not left out. The rice had a few pieces of corn and other things. They definitely take pride in their food and they should. The setting was beautiful and the cute waitress was a spark plug. The prices were great as well. If it's not the best place to eat in rifle I challenge anyone to show me anything better. 10...

I ordered a shrimp meal and although the flavors were great, it was definitely disappointing because the portion was small for a 15 dollar meal and also all of the shrimp were unpeeled but also butterflied. So because it was butterflied (the backs cut open) it took forever to get all of the shell off of the shrimp and by the time I was able to get all the little pieces of uneatable shell off, the food was cold.
