Easily the worst takeout experience I have ever had. I pulled up to the restaurant at approximately 6pm, and I wasn't even sure the building was open and the curbside pickup sign was missing numbers for the phone number.
I had tried to order a burger and fries online but it did not process properly so I went inside thinking it would be easy to order in person at a sandwich shop...I was wrong.
So I went inside, and not only does it not look open, but there is a pervading smell of old food and grease the floor is greasy and slippery. The lights are all off in the waiting area and there is an industrial heat lamp to keep the room warm because they are not using regular heat. There is construction debris everywhere and it looks dirty.
I attempted to order a burger and fries and the man behind the counter looked like I asked him to slaughter the cow himself. Apparently they have not been getting very many in person orders, but I am not a person who lives in that town so I did not know this.
I order my burger and fries and pay and tip the person behind the counter and after I have given my money I am told that they have a lot of orders ahead of me and it will probably be about a half an hour before my burger and fries are ready. So I waited in my car, being uncomfortable waiting in the dirty waiting area. When my burger and fries were ready, I took them home and the fries were crumbly and stale, cooked in oil that was old and probably needed to be changed. The burger resembled not a burger patty but some kind of mangled meatloaf patty, the bread was hard, and nothing was very tasty except the bottled soda I purchased. I'm probably lucky I didn't get sick.
All together it was a completely disappointing and disgusting experience and I will...
Read moreI had high hopes going into this, but was swiftly readjusted as soon as I arrived. The location is less than favorable, and almost missed it. No signage other than on the building, but being tucked away, you would never find this without GPS. Upon entering, all 4 display TVs were malfunctioning, or not setup, but we're on and showing input prompts. I couldn't find a menu anywhere, but there was one binder in the front you could order from. Another customer asked for a menu and was told "to look online". Prices are not listed in the binder menu, only online, so when we ordered 2 sandwiches and an appetizer, and the total was shy of $55, I was caught off guard, but still wanted to try it.
The dining area looked disheveled and parts were blocked off for whatever reason. We sat and waited 35 minutes for our food, which is 2x longer than I would expect for sandwiches to be made. Upon eating the sandwiches, we agreed that the food was okay, but something was off. Of course some food was clearly microwaved and pre-packaged, but the flavor was a little off still - can't put my finger on it. The beer cheese was straight up bad, but the mustard for the pretzels were pretty good.
Overall, I think the menu is doing too much and the experience was lackluster in...
Read moreReviews are what led us to try it. But beware. This place was terrible. My confirmation told me 30 minutes. I got there 5 minutes early but then I sat and waited for another 30. 15 minutes after sitting down, they tell me they're out of a main ingredient for one of the items (my meal) and couldn't make it. They took it off the bill, but that left me with nothing to ear and after waiting as long as I already had, I wasn't going to ask them to make me something else. Once we finally got the food, we went home and sorted it, and everyone dug in. The only thing that was decent (not fantastic) was the pilgrim sandwich. The steak and cheese was bland, and EXTREMELY dry. The "chili" was not even close to being actual chili, and was entirely inedible. The broccoli balls were ok, but one of them was NOT broccoli, it was mushroom (as least I hope it was, since it certainly wasn't broccoli), and the person who bit into it hates mushrooms. Expecting it to be broccoli and biting into something gross to them, they spat it out and threw it away. For the obscene amount of money a few sandwiches cost, and how pedestrian the food was, I would...
