Spillway Coffee House LLC — Restaurant in Riverdale

Ate here for lunch. When we walked in a few tables were full outside. A waitress brought us menus immediately and got our order soon afterwards. I had noticed a couple that had drinks sitting a few tables from us. Our order came and they were still sitting there with drinks only so I thought they were finished eating or just came in for drinks. All they while the waitress is flirting with the single men that came in. We are almost done eating and the waitress goes over to their table and asks if they're still waiting for their food! As we left she finally brought their food... 2 burgers. Now about our food. We ordered the fish platters. I also got the soup of the day, broccoli and garlic chicken. Very bland soup. I feel they forgot to season it or watered it down. Maybe they felt the garlic was enough seasoning. I'm assuming they make their own tartar sauce, it tasted like mayonnaise with a little pickle relish in it. The coleslaw was also pretty flavorless. My recommendation for this place?...

Our server, name on the receipt is 'Default' 😉, was very nice and reasonably attentive, while not hovering. She greeted us and also spoke to locals who came in, seemingly knowing them fairly well. Lovely small town atmosphere. I had a Spinach and Bacon Omelette with a side (upgraded) to onion rings and sourdough toast. Husband created his own by saying Denver? omellete and the waitress/server knew exactly what that meant. He had the Spillway hashbrown which include onion and peppers and wheat toast. Went their and sat at a table only 2 other couples were their and waited for the waitresses to come over and they sat their and played a game of Uno together. One out of the two waitresses Came over to 1 of the other 2 tables that were full and grabbed some plates out of their way the other waitress started shuffling the uno cards.
