I have been going to this location since my parents brought me there as a baby in 1985. Now I have kids myself and have been taking my kids there somewhat regularly.
My wife ordered a Reese's Blizzard birthday cake for me with chocolate frosting and ice cream instead of vanilla. The top layer is supposed to be a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Blizzard. This layer was 99% plain soft serve chocolate ice cream. The middle layer is supposed to be a cookie crunch with fudge. The cookie crunch was there but there was no fudge at all. I was pretty disappointed that my Blizzard cake didn't have Blizzard in it.
My wife called the same evening to report how the cake was made incorrectly. The manager who took the call understood and offered to remake the cake and asked my wife to send a few pictures. That was very nice as my wife didnt ask for a remade cake. My wife sent a few pictures. These pictures clearly showed that the ice cream had no pieces in it and that the fudge was missing.
This morning, Alan called and told me that the picture clearly had plenty of Reese's Peanut Butter cups in it and that the fudge layer was clearly there. I offered to bring the cake in for a proper dissection. He said that he will review the security cam footage of the employee who prepared the cake and get back to me. When he called back, Alan said that the employee placed enough of the Reese's peanut butter cups into the ice cream. I told him that me, my wife, and my two sons all could not taste or find any of this when we ate some last night. I offered to bring the cake in so he can look at it. He said that even if I am right that there will be nothing done to rectify the situation as the security cam footage exhonerates his staff. This meant that the promise from the manager to remake the cake got revoked. He was stern and rude.
All I know is that this Blizzard cake did NOT have Blizzard ice cream. I have eaten Blizzards all throughout my entire life and I know what a Blizzard is-- and from this same location. This experience has caused this location to lose a life long customer of me and my family. I guess we will be eating Cold Stone more often now... please review the pictures. One picture is how this cake is advertised for comparison. I was really looking forward to this special cake for my birthday. This is so...
Read moreDairy Queen is pretty solid when it comes to satisfying that ice cream craving, especially on a hot day. I love their light-tasting ice cream and the Blizzards are always delicious â my personal favorite is the Strawberry Cheesecake. It's got just the right balance of sweet and creamy with a nice chunky strawberry twist.
Before the change in ownership, they used to have a delicious Rocky Road Blizzard with a marshmallow center that I really miss. Unfortunately, they no longer carry it and wonât take special requests for it, which was a bit disappointing.
This location can get quite crowded during hot weather (understandably), so expect it to be a bit crowded. Because there is limited seating inside, I usually sit outside, which is a nice option. Parking is free, but it fills up quickly when it gets busy. I donât mind parking a bit farther away, especially since the lot is a little tight when it's packed.
The staff are pretty cool and always do the Blizzard flip, which is a fun gimmick to see. They also offer an inexpensive cold dog treat if you ask, which is a bonus for dog owners. Also, they serve really good ice cream cakes, which are excellent. The last time I bought a cake, I wanted an image printed on it, but their machine was down. Luckily, they let me bring my own image, and they made it work â great customer service in that moment.
If you're in the mood for a cold, creamy treat, Dairy Queen definitely...
Read moreNot much of an ice cream eater. But the summer weather here in Riverside California is no joke. Especially riding around in a beach cruiser temperature hitting over 100 on the daily. So I decided to go in and oh man!!!⌠jaw dropping selections. There is a flavor for everyone out there. I got the something simple that you can get at a fast food place. Why you ask? Itâs what Iâm used to. Not only that, itâs on a picture board advertisement for a summer deal. đ Long story short. Super delicious. From the picture to the hand, itâs like 4 times bigger than what you would get elsewhere. So recommend to anyone. Especially for the kids. Theyâll love you for that forever.
The one where my bike took me to is family friendly seating area everywhere. And bunch of parking space for boat to a bicycle. And if you have time, looking to get your fro done by a pro/fessional stylist. Thereâs a spot for that in the center. Ladies looking for a little love with the hang nails, not to worry. Itâs next door. If thatâs not your get down for that day. Check out the shopping center. itâs just around the corner. You and the fambam can do a single trip, donât trip kinda day. So yeah...
