The place is usually packed, but I think it's worth it. The sushi is good tasting, fresh, and clean. The rolls match the pictures on the menu. I would suggest you get the "all you can eat" special. As of 03/16/19 the price for their all you can eat special is $24.99+tax. I can still remember when it used to be $20.00+tax. All in all the food was delicious and satisfying, I ordered the following:
Stuffed Tomato (good and light) Sal (kinda plain, but good overall) Jessica Albacore (good and light) Green Goblin (my favorite this day) Riverside (second favorite this day) Sunomono Salad (cucumbers basically) Honeymoon (simple and refreshing taste) Miso Soup (your basic miso soup, was salty)
Yes, I ate ALL of that by myself, lol!
And don't leave anything behind because they do have a charge for leaving ordered food that's left behind.
Ask for a small side (on the plate) of their cilantro sauce, it's very tasty!
The chefs are almost all Hispanic, they were talking smack about the clients and their orders, including mine! Yes they were joking amongst themselves but being serious at the same time. They were even talking smack about my order too. They were not aware that I knew spanish, so I knew exactly what they were saying in Spanish about everyone, including me, lmfao! It wasn't enough to start a fight or anything, but I just noted it and thought it was funny how they thought they were being slick talking smack in Spanish amongst themselves, but little did they know I knew exactly what they were saying, lol!
IMPORTANT Just so you know, both the crab meat and the lobster meat are not really what you think they are! The crab meat is in fact imitation crab meat. And the lobster meat is not real lobster meat, it's craw fish tail. It says so right on their menu's, at least they warn you. Yes, you read that right, it's craw fish tail, lmao! So there you have it, make sure you know this when ordering. Craw fish tail,...
Read moreWent here on Sunday 08/21/2022. Wanted some Sushi and seating time was normal for any other establishment that is serving all you can eat or has really awesome food.
Got seated with my gf, after getting a coffee next door. Had to wait, so why not grab a coffee. Haha. Didn't order anything yet, just got some waters and was looking at the menu. After about 10 minutes of waiting, tried to flag down some of waiters/waitresses, but I don't think they saw me. Probably because we were sitting in the middle of the establishment. Started a timer on my phone to see how long it would take. I know it sounds rude, but I just wanted to time it and see how long it would take for them to notice us or at least notice me flagging them down. After about another 10 minutes, noticed that others were getting served before us. And those tables are right next to us. So it sounds kinda bizarre that they didn't see us. Ok. Waited a little bit longer and the servers just kept helping other people. The old couple that just sat down next to us got served quickly and servers were very attentive to them. My gf and I decided to leave shortly after, because we never got to get our order in. So, all in all, this was not meant to be a negative review, just to be aware that sometimes you might get overlooked or the servers were probably busy with other things. This shouldn't really happen and the both us were kind of disappointed in the service. Was it because we brought coffee into this place or maybe we were in a blindspot of this establishment. Who knows, but all in all, they have to do better on being aware of customers that arrived or have been seated. Also, they have 15% gratuity for all dine in orders. Just be aware of this, especially if you are not getting...
Read moreThis establishment has the absolute worst customer service! I tried to eat here for my birthday, but waited nearly an hour after I got to the door.
Even then, I couldn’t sit with my family, while I watched dozens of customers with similar party sizes to mine (6) sit down and eat before my family and I. The representative at the door was rude and it did not seem like he wanted to be there. He had a lackadaisical attitude and took no pride in his work. We decided to not wait more than an hour, even though they said it would only be “12 minutes” multiple times and leave to another restaurant that had the same amount of customers. We were seated there almost immediately and enjoyed our sushi.
Fast forward to today, my wife and our family tried to eat here for her birthday. A customer service representative was extremely rude and raised his voice at both my wife and my mother-in-law. When asked about his manager’s information, he said there is no manager there and that he had no supervisor there. When asked when his manager was going to be available, he further raised his voice and said he didn’t know and his manager has no phone number to be reached at.
This establishment used to be a great place to eat with my family but is now a far-fetched reality of what it used to be. Don’t come here unless you want to be treated disrespectfully, waste your time, and leave with a sour taste in your mouth. Save your time and go to Joe’s Sushi Japanese Restaurant where the staff is extremely friendly and will sit you down and have you eating before you even make it inside Sushi Asahi.
If I could leave 0 stars, I would. As that isn’t possible, 1 star will do. Horrible!...
