Here’s a beautiful tree shaded park in the proximity of open desert! It’s like two parks in one, as the sports park designation lends itself to other non-sports related activities! Baseball, soccer, field sports and basketball areas are clearly front and center of all activities here. Though participants and attendees have nice areas to gather, have picnics and enjoy leisure time with family as well. It’s also a regular park where the public can reserve covered space for private use or occupy picnic tables and benches during regular operating hours. Good place to take the kids to play, with two playgrounds and light use of open field space during the weekdays. There’s public restrooms that are open during regular park hours. Some of the landscape maintenance could be cleaned up some more and park signage updated. I’ve always been fascinated how an oasis kind of environment as this springs up...

Running... Jogging... Walking... huffing... puffing... on the one-mile path around the perimeter of the park, which takes you along beautiful Victoria Avenue and not-so-beautiful & traffic laden Van Buren Boulevard. The sand/dirt path is marked every quarter mile and is beautifully lined with citrus trees. However, the path is eroded (er eroding - hmmp) in some areas and dog owners have been neglecting to collect their dog bombs... So watch your step!

There are several multi-use fields & basketball courts (lighted), covered picnic areas (reservable), a playground, water play area, and plenty of restrooms. There's even a snack bar for when you have a hankering for nachos or big league chew!

Overall, the park is well maintained and great for a quick & easy run! (And no judgment if you stop...

I'm used to Orange County parks which are generally much nicer than this general area, but this park still served as a nice, short play time for my son. The rubber underneath the play equipment was very badly torn up and desperately in need of replacement. Three of four swings were missing altogether on the larger play structure. Unbelievably, the bathrooms were very clean and well lit for a park. The sinks had very high water pressure--which is unusual--and the hand air dryers barely blew a breeze, but again, I'm used to the jet engines that dry hands at OC parks so I didn't mind this. However, there was no hand soap. The park is located in a more quiet surrounding area and there were a decent amount of other moms and kids about. Overall, it...

This is a newer park and a lot of thought went into the planning. It has several, top notch sporting areas and you can play soccer, basketball, softball and moron the many will lit quartz and diamonds. There's also plenty of parking, ample bathrooms that are well kept and a really nice playground for older and younger children. Everything is beautifully landscaped as well with mature trees, lots of shade, well-kept lawn and tons of beautiful roses. You don't have to come here just for the sports but you can find a spot and enjoy the peacefulness as well.
