We went to Palio’s tonight for the first time. At 8:15 they were putting chairs on the tables to sweep and mop. We asked if they were closing early but they said they were just cleaning. They advertised on here that Palio’s is BYOB so we brought a couple of beers with us but we asked after noticing they had beer and wine there if they were no longer BYOB. The manager came out and told us they sell it but we could drink our own but they have a $10 Corkage fee. Their beer prices were very reasonable ($3 and $5 for premium) so it would have been cheaper to buy a beer than pay the cork fee. We ordered a meat and cheese deluxe pizza. Unfortunately the toppings were pretty sparse. It was fine. Honestly no better than a frozen pizza you could get from any grocery store. We also had a meatball sub. Again, fine. The meatballs tasted like they came frozen in a bag. The final dish we tried was a chicken artichoke pasta. It was just ok. Not a lot of flavor. For the whole 35-40 minutes we were there they continued to clean the place. But that’s ok, I get everyone wants to go home and we were the only people there. The restaurant was clean and the people were nice and the food was served quickly. All in all I give it a solid meh. Not horrible but in all likelihood I would not go back and...
Read moreI've been a customer for years and have always enjoyed ordering from here, but unfortunately, this was the first disappointing experience I've had. I ordered a medium "The King" pizza, 10 Dry Rub Wings, and a small cheese bread.
The pizza was lukewarm, and the meat toppings (pepperoni, Canadian bacon, sausage) were noticeably sparse. It had more vegetables than meat, which was unexpected for a pizza called "The King."
As for the wings, they were warmer than the pizza, but I only received 7 full wings and 3 very small pieces/nubs (photo attached), so essentially I paid $12.49 for 7 wings. This also made me wonder whether the wings are freshly made in-house or simply bought frozen, baked, and tossed in seasoning.
While everything tasted fine, I can’t say it felt worth the...
Read moreWe order from here frequently and it has become our g o to place for delivery because the pizza is better than the other places that you can order from in the Roanoke/Trophy Club area.
Our favorite pizza is the Greek because it has a great combinations of ingredients including both green and black olives , baby spinach, garlic and tomatoes. Palio's has a wide range of other pizzas on their menu but this is definitely the one that we like the best.
We have also dined in at their other locations both in Grapevine and Flower Mound with friends and have found that they are consistent throughout their brand. While if you are in DFW you might think this is a big chain because of all the locations that have popped up, it is a family owned business and they care about...
