Lola Restaurant — Restaurant in Robbinsville Township

The table was waiting for us when we entered. Water and bread came pretty fast. After that it was downhill. We waited over half an hour for the waiter to finally come over and tell us the specials. And then we waited again until he took our order. We had a 7 o’clock reservation and our salads finally came at around 8 PM. The entrées took a long time to come out. Entrees were not as ordered. And one of the dishes had to go back while the other person was so hungry they decided to eat it as it was presented. Service was pretty terrible. The manager came over and asked how everything was and we told her. We did get three desserts on the house. But by no means did it make up for the terrible service. Food was just OK and really not hot enough — but everybody was so hungry we ate it anyway. Restaurant was packed. Noisy. It looked like there was only two waiters serving the entire restaurant. And our waiter kept coming out from the kitchen and going to the pizza side to deliver food as well. We were group of six and the six of us will...

The 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Appetizers: calamari was lightly crusted and tender, arancini were full and tasty, flatbread combination of arugula/goat cheese/fig was sweet and the crust was thin and perfectly crunchy. Entrees: bronzini/clams/capers/risotto was moist and the clams tender. A few too many capers made it a bit too salty. The squid ink pasta/lobster was light, full of lobster and very tasty. The Risotto Lola was also full of lobster and the rice perfectly cooked. The stuffed pork chop was loaded with gorgonzola/spinach and cooked just to medium. The linguini bolognese was topped with a meatball and perfectly sauced. Even the desserts were excellent. We were very pleased and will be back. We had been hesitant after having been disappointed during our initial visit for a group function. At that time the appetizers were excellent but the entrees were just ok but came with no pasta...

Service is super disappointing... I ordered food via Seamless and waited for one hour, called restaurant 2 times getting lies that food was on the way to be delivered in 10 minutes. When it wasn't I called back asking about the timing and they promised to check and call back. Nobody called back. For my last call back I requested to talk to manager asking to send new order as the one would be too cold after 90min on the road or to issue refund. Both were declined and I was told to figure it out with Seamless basically do whatever on my own. Food arrived after 3 hours cold and completely unsalvageable. Such a disappointing experience. Never ordering from them again... neither I do recommend anyone to go through such experience.
