We purchased dinner about 30 min prior to close. The brisket was extremely dry - really little moisture...rubbery. The sides did not enhance the meal much. If I had to guess the baked beans and slaw are from a Gordon's or similar type of service. The salad with Turkey was from a bag it appears with a couple of slices of lunch meat added to it. I will say the salad greens were fresh. Was looking forward to a good meal, but it fell way short. Last but not least was a local who brought his dog to visit people. Nice dog and all fine but was wet from the creek and comes to where we are sitting and proceeds to shake all over. Wish the experience was better. Would have let staff know but got the impression they were more focused on leaving and there was no inquiry as to how the food was. The dog owner did apologize so there was that. Restroom amenities are worthy of their own...
Read moreWe found ourselves here by accident after Google maps took us to a nearby eatery that was closed, and were happy it ended how it did. We were tired after a long trip with two big dogs and needed somewhere to eat where we could sit outside and watch our pups. The outside eatery was simple and lived up to the name of the business. It was shady, cool and welcoming. The river scene gave our eyes as much to take in as the food did our taste buds. You could Sit here for hours and watch the river and the rafters going by. We thought the food was delicious. We both had a brisket sandwich with a side of slaw and a can Coke. Afterwards we wandered over right next door and had some hand dipped ice cream and got a pup cup for the Doggos. Loved...
