Their prime rib is amazing and they serve the traditional Irish horseradish sauce with it, everything is delicious. And the prices are reasonable! The service is great and the manager will take care of you if you ask! The last time I was there when I went in the prime rib was overcooked and was more like roast beef and as soon as I mentioned it to the kitchen manager within 5 minutes he brought out the most perfect and beautiful prime rib I've ever eaten I ate so much of it I got sick that is what I'm talking about! I literally ate it with a fork did not need a knife, OMG! It was exquisite!! Those are on Friday nights with a nice seafood buffet including crab legs and perfect jumbo boiled shrimp and more! Experience life the way it was meant to be, experience the Magnolia Blossom Cafe, it doesn't matter if you have to drive 50 miles! It will be worth it!! My aunt and first cousin drove all the way from Houston Texas and Jackson Mississippi just so we could eat there! Does that mean something to you? Now the old gal at the register is not that friendly but that's just the way she is cuz I've eaten there many times and some people take offense but you needn't be, sometimes us older people get a little grouchy but don't let that affect your enjoyment and pleasure of the evening! Please! Sometimes we just have to take the good with the bad and love it for its most profound attributes! Just remember a little courtesy and a little tolerance will put a smile on two people's face at least! And never forget that nobody is perfect! There was only one perfect man that ever walked this Earth,You should know whom I'm...
Read moreThe reviews all looked fine however unbeknownst to me, I was in for both sub par food and service.I had ordered what the menu described as a 7oz Sirloin, with a side of fried okra and fries. I received my food and the steak looked almost a little grey on the outside, and had no seasoning whatsoever. I have eaten many a steak, at many different prices, yet none managed to come out to me tasting like air. The fries had come out with better seasoning than the steak. Fine whatever salt and pepper can fix many issues, the steak was still juicy and only cooked a little over what I had asked for. Well, once I had received the ticket I was bamboozled once more. I had been charged an extra dollar more?! AND for a 6oz Sirloin not 7?! Goodness me, I'm not one for making a mess of things, so I just payed, and left. That is not all though. Throughout the whole meal my wife and I had been tended to at a timely manner yes, but our waitress seemed to have just not liked us. We get our menus, I look up sincerely say thanks, get our drinks sincerely say thanks, get our food and sincerely say thanks, get refills and look up and I still say thanks, but every single time she responded with some bad toned "mmhm" like we've offended her in some way. Well maybe I just don't know, but I expect a little...
Read moreBeen there many times. At one time in the past you could get breakfast buffet six days a week I believe. We went there this morning and they did not have the buffet but you could order breakfast off the menu. My wife says they told her they only do breakfast buffet on weekend. They did have a salad bar and I undestand they have buffet at dinner (lunch to yankees) and at supper time on certain days. Just have to call them to find out because they obviously are constantly changing their buffet and 'order from menu' times and days. The times we have eaten there the food was good and the service good and prices reasonable. Don't remember seeing a State of Alabama Flag nor a Confederate Battle Flag honoring the people that do business there and the State in which they do business. Sad indeed. (Updated to lower scores due to atmosphere not being too welcoming at times. One of those working the cashregister is rude to people at times for some reason. It seems the same fixings can get old, especially it appears they just open a can of whatever and heat it up...
