I am usually excited to go to any Primanti Bros. I decided to come here with my wife for dinner after working some forced overtime. Upon entry of the establishment and following their covid rules, we waited close to 10 minutes before we were seated with an attitude as if we were bothering her. Upon getting a waitress over 15 minutes, we ordered our drinks and food. It took 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive, 15 for our appetizer, mind you we never got any silverware, my wife had an unsweetened tea and asked for Splenda ( which is in a yellow packet and says Splenda), the waitress grabs 2 packs of Sweet n Low( Pink packets that say Sweet n Low, unless I'm color blind) tosses them on the table and walks away. Upon my wife asking for silverware to the waitress upon another 10 minutes that we didn't see her, she said sure grabbed them from a station and tossed them down (must've interrupted social hour). We had another person bring us our sandwiches, never seeing our waitress for 25 minutes (yes I was timing her, I used to work as a waiter years prior). We asked for Red Devil Sauce and my wife asked for tartar sauce for her fish sandwich. The hot sauce was set down Alittle aggressively and tossed ketchup onto my wife's plate( she asked for tartar sauce not ketchup). Then asked for refills for our beverages, lemondae and unsweetened tea, had to wait another 10 minutes (must've been squeezing the lemons herself. With this being said, we paid our bill, tipped on performance which well, let's say was $0. I will not return to this site again, the Original in the strip district beats them on alone. Sorry Primantis, not happy...

This place was mediocre at best.

I came here with a party of 3, and intended on getting in and out quickly, seeing other reviews of food service in under 5 minutes. However, this was not the case. The drinks came quick, but the food did not. It took about twice as long for the food to arrive, and even then, the wait was not worth it.

The sandwich I ordered, a Capicola & Cheese, was not as satisfactory as the other reviews say it is, but perhaps it's just personal taste. Perhaps not.

The pizza I ordered, which was shared with the rest of my party, similarly, was not as satisfactory as well, which has been backed up by another member of my party, who's exact quote I will not write for reasons I'm sure you can understand.

But, I'm sure you're wondering, if everything I ordered at Primanti's was less than satisfactory, then why am I giving it a 3/5 star review? Well, the food might not be good, but the atmosphere, however, is.

The restaurant was, for the most part, clean, with the exception for some litter scattered around, which is more the customers fault then the employees (Though they could always just clean it, but I'm not going to take stars away for something as minor as that).

It also gave off a generally cozy vibe, similar to other restaurants I have been at (And enjoyed).

To summarize it, go to Primanti Bros. if you want. I'm most likely not going to much in the near future (Due to distance, not from my dislike of it), but the next time I do, it will be...

My family and I love Primanti food but this location had us wait an hour to be served due to some problems in the back. Possibly understaffed. We weren't the only ones to wait this long as suggested by other guests around us;however, there were a number of things wrong with the service! The manager never showed up to our side of the diner to offer some apologies or anything for the extremely long wait after putting in our orders, our food showed up but it was obviously cool which was extremely odd considering we waited that long and we were thinking they were just backed up. Why not bring out the food upon being ready? Finally when we did finish our meal no manager came out. They charged us for every single detail on the check including soda water and bbq sauce and offered no discount for the long wait time. I had to bring to the waitress' attention that we aren't normally charged for soda water. Our waitress was understanding and said she would scream in the back to see if our order was ready but it appeared it had been sitting...perhaps she didn't check the window?...not sure but despite the circumstances we tipped her and thanked her for serving us. We were sadly disappointed and we will never visit this location again. Beware of those long wait times especially if you have children and even when they're telling you it will be a short wait. They told us we'd be seated in 10minutes but our food took an hour to...

Stopped by Primanti Bros Restaurant and Bar, 4501 Steubenville Pike, Pittsburgh, PA on Veterans Day (November 11, 2024) to enjoy their special offer for veterans and ordered the Kielbasa & Cheese (a.k.a. Boski) sandwich. The Veterans Day offer was for dine-in only, which allowed us to really soak in the camaraderie as fellow veterans enjoyed meals with friends, family, or fellow service members. Seeing so many proudly wearing their service hats and clothing was a touching reminder of the support within our armed forces community. Our host, Nicole, was welcoming and appreciative, delivering the sandwich promptly. The atmosphere was warm, and the staff's kindness made the visit feel even more special. The only drawback was that the sandwich had a smaller amount of kielbasa than expected, so some bites lacked the full flavor balance. Despite that minor issue, the thoughtful gesture and the sense of community at Primanti Bros. made it a meaningful experience. I look forward to coming back, whether for dine-in or take-out, and I truly appreciate Primanti Bros. for honoring veterans with such generosity.

I came to this location a month ago and I will not be back! I was seated immediately along with my guest and we placed our order within 10 minutes. Other guest (not with me) came and sat at near by tables about 10 minutes after us. They placed their order and received their food before us. More people began to arrive, were seated, and received their food before ours as well. I order the cheesesteak bomb fries with no onions. When we finally received our food this is what I got (the attached photo). My fries and steak was cold and as you can see there was no cheese on top. The steak appeared to be just thrown on there. The waitress then brought cold cheese as seen in the photo, after I asked about my missing cheese. I didn’t even bother to eat it. The service was horrible, my guest had to go to the bar to get a refill on his sprite. We would have slightly understood the lack of good service if it was busy but it wasn’t. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

About the Restaurant: This chain restaurant located in Steubenville fell short of expectations in multiple aspects. Despite being crowded, my experience left much to be desired. About the Food and Drinks: I tried the chicken fingers, which were just okay, and the accompanying garlic sauce was an unpleasant surprise, overwhelmingly filled with vinegar. While the other two sauces were passable, they couldn't redeem the overall taste. The oilly black fries were far from appetizing. Even the drinks left much to be desired. They were disappointingly light on liquor, making them not worth the money spent. All in all, it was a rather underwhelming dining experience. Given the subpar food, disappointing drinks, and the crowded atmosphere, a two-star rating feels appropriate for this chain restaurant.
