Sapporo Japanese Steak House — Restaurant in Robinson Township

I have too many words to share to describe this establishment. Tonight was my first experience dining here, after a day date with my boyfriend we decided we were in the mood for hibachi. The first mistake we made was driving from Robinson to Carnegie to dine at Benihana‘s. Within thirty minutes of being there, we left (but that’s another story) Unsatisfied and still very hungry, we decided to stop in at Sapporo’s. They didn’t open until 4:30 (at this time it was 4PM) and noticing the website says reservations only, I called to make sure it was okay we dine in. The man on the phone said what time can you be here and I informed him we were already in the parking lot. He told me “I’ll see you in thirty minutes”

The moment we walked in we already knew we made the right decision. The table we sat at was full of kind people. Everyone was talking, sharing stories, laughing etc. it literally felt like we were sitting at the dinner table with FAMILY. The chef came out who happens to be the owner. A one man show, and boy did he kill it! The food was so fresh. I had the filet and scallops and it was cooked to perfection. Not only did he make a great meal. He shares stories himself, took the time to actually enjoy our company and show his appreciation that we were there. He must be the sweetest man I’ve ever met. His wife was very pleasant as well! The waitress was so accommodating and very on top of things with her being the only one there.

I honestly think this is the longest review I ever made… I could go on and on but long story short, you will NOT be disappointed with Sapporos.! Living nearly 5 minutes away, this will be our forever...

This place is near and dear to my heart. I've loved going here for years now. The food is second to none, it's family owned and run, the husband is the best chef I've ever seen in a restaurant of this type, the wife is a great hostess very kind and always courteous, I've never once had a complaint about this place myself nor ever heard a complaint of any kind from anyone I've sent there. Never ever not even a little gotten sick from the food. It's honestly my favorite and the best restaurant in all of Pittsburgh. When you go here to eat you feel like your eating with family. It's really homey and down to earth. You could not find better dining in Pittsburgh if you tried. 10/10 definitely...

Been going here for years and love it, all of it.. yes they take their time but that's why we go. It's all family owned and operated so we are known on a first name basis. All these other poor reviews are from people who think chain stores are the way to go but that it not the case here. The food is always good and the show is them cooking not fancy knife flipping and crap.. to cook good food is a show all by itself. . But they do , do a flaming onion that's really cool for the kids... It has been at least 10 + years of us going there I don't think our order has ever been messed up at all.. yes this is my real name and I appreciate the way we have been treated time and...
