Golden Chick — Restaurant in Robstown

I was in Orange Grove till i was 6, then we moved to California...every other year when we would come visit, the first thing i wanted to eat was gizzards, since they dont sell them in California at any restaurant...Well I've recently moved back about 2 months ago and ive already tried gizzards in Alice, 5 points and of coarse Robstown Barreras & Golden Chick...And i have to say Golden Chick has the best gizzards ANYWHERE!! Today i had placed an order and on my way back to O.G i decided to look inside the box, well i was pretty upset & disappointed at what i seen...half uncooked gizzards... so of coarse i busted a Uturn...on my way back i was getting more upset bcuz i had already driven pretty far out of Robstown...Well when i got to Golden Chick it was obvious i was very upset, i ask for the manager and showed her the gizzards and asked her if she would eat them, meaning the gizzards... i also told her how far i had driven and only to have to drive back...long story short my entire meal was replaced PLUS she added more to my meal AND refunded my money back...She apologized for the inconvenience and told me that a new hire had prepared my food and was training. The young man came out and apologized, I then felt really bad, and briefly talked with him 👍😁 Overall with the food I've ordered and the quality of customer service and how they handled this situation, i give them 5 STARS...

I purchased a four piece chicken tender dinner from the Golden Chick in robstown. The staff was quick to cut me off on order, when I open the box the gravy was about a quarter of the container, the roll was hard, the fries were cold, they only filled my soda cup halfway up. I called the number on the receipt that says to call for a good or sad experience and that number kept hanging up on me. I called the store and spoke to the manager, when I told the manager that the gravy was a quarter of a container he told me it was an 8 oz container and that they only gave 6 oz of gravy. I explained to the manager that if the containers 8 oz half of a container is 4 oz and a quarter of a container is 2 oz. He had nothing to explain why the role was hard or the fries were cold or why I only got half of a soda. For $10 this is ridiculous. He told me he would give me a refund if I brought back the product. I am a traveling nurse by the time I realized how short amount of food I had I was 35 minutes away. I will be in that area in 7 days and he proceeded to tell me to hold on to the food for 7 days and bring it back to him for a refund. This location puts Golden Chick restaurants to shame. For a company that has such great food and for this location to perform like this and hurt the reputation is unheard of. Very...

My wife and I ordered thru drive thru came home and realize that both of our orders were wrong we both wanted the six piece tenders and they both gave us three we had not eaten all day so we went ahead and ate what we had. I tried calling the store twice no answer, but then when my husband went to the store. They said their policy says they cannot give us a refund or the rest of our food. They had no proof that we didn’t get the food that we had ordered when my husband came back and I went ahead and called the store. All of a sudden the phones worked and the manager was very rude on the phone and said he couldn’t do nothing for me because of your policy.
