Beefy Burger — Restaurant in Robstown

The assistant manager was rude for the moment we walked in. She question if they had the item I ordered saying she did not know if they had it and then questioning if I ordered the sandwich or basket after being told it was the basket she was again rude when asked how many piece was in the chicken basket and when asking the server if any other piece could be add she made a comment again which I choose to ignore. When the orders were ready they had the drinks all wrong one was a regular drink the other 32 oz but were regular drinks and one lemonade and the other Dr. Pepper when I said something she told the server I did not charge her for it and it will be 75 cents more. The server told her it was a 32 oz Dr. Pepper and the regular was a lemonade she still gave attitude and told the server it will be coming out of his pocket. When I asked for the owner's number she told the server they are not allowed to give it out when I asked what time she would be in she told the server 10 when they close. I will be calling to let the owner know that she has a bad attitude as for the food the hamburgers were good yesterday and so was the service yesterday the mood was nice and good. This quaint burger joint surpasses any typical fast food establishment. While I would have awarded it 5 stars if the patties were homemade, the affordable price we paid for two combos was equivalent to the cost of just one combo at a nearby chain burger restaurant. The outstanding customer service truly stood out - both the cashier and cook were exceptionally friendly and eager to serve us. Despite the slightly worn-down appearance of the modest establishment, it was clean, likely a result of the high volume of patrons they cater to. Overall, it was a fantastic place to visit. The burger patties were generously sized, the buns perfectly toasted, and delightfully non-greasy. The thick-cut fries were fried to perfection, especially when paired with the special seasoning -( you have to ask for it ) undoubtedly the highlight of the meal!

The service was knowledgeable and very friendly. The product... Not so much. I haven't eaten there in about 9 years, we ordered the chili cheese burritos, a burger, fries and 2 large chocolate shakes. Where do I start? The burritos were made from frozen, but I was not aware there were fried frozen, they were rock hard and there was not enough chili sauce on them to soften them. The burger patty was also cooked frozen and perhaps a press was used, I say this because what we ended up with was a hard, tasteless puck. The fries were cold and a bit undercooked although they were so dark they were bordering on burnt. And the finale was the chocolate shakes... They were not user friendly. They were thick but had a terrible flavor. I'm not quite sure what it was that I remembered or if the quality has just gone so downhill over the years, but I don NOT recommend this restaurant if you are looking for quality, value...
