During the day time maybe a 3 or 4 but come here anytime past 8pm and this place is a literal joke. First of all the waitress starts by asking if we knew what we want to eat. She hasn't even asked about drinks yet. So we ask ourselves the next time she comes around. Food comes out and the server sets our SPLIT bills, without asking us if or how we wanted them (we were all on one btw), and says she'll be back in a minute to check on us. I notice my burger doesn't have the chipotle mayo its supposed to come with. I think "okay I'll just work on my hash browns until she comes back to check". Doesn't come back. I'm sitting here not eating, raising my hand, looking around, yet none of the servers acknowledge me. Finally we catch a glimpse of our waitress... Putting on her coat and grabbing her purse. Boyfriend gets up and asks another server for the chipotle mayo. Finally I try my burger which i asked for medium rare. Dry overcooked burger. Soggy bun. Mind you this burger is supposed to be cajun seasoned, which it was not. Still no sign of our server. Other servers barely acknowledge us until we finish eating and then offer to fill our waters. We ask for a box, take 10 minutes to grab one. My friends and I come here often because it's one of the few places in Rochester that is open late enough for me to get dinner after i get off my late night shift. Im in the service industry. Not only is the food disappointing but the service was unnacceptable. Clearly these girls need some proper training. You wouldnt last more than a week at my job with that poor of service. Most likely won't be back. This was not the first disappointing experience but this was by far the worst. This was also not the first time we never saw our server again after she dropped our food and tab (even when we don't ask for it). What a joke. It didn't even deserve the one star but its the lowest...
Read moreIt is always a joy eating here. I'll be upfront that typically I'm not the greatest RamsHorn fan as far as their food goes, I grew up in the downriver area and I always preffered the local Coney islands as far as food and price went.
When I moved to Rochester I went to this location and fell in love. The staff really love their jobs they do different and great things with the menu. The amount of effort that goes into the seasonal decorations is staggering and the restaurant is a sight to see come Christmas time. It's not just the major holidays either, their decorations for the Woodword dream cruise we're really awesome.
Another thing I noted is that this place is not afraid to put a cross on the wall and for my fellow Christians I'm sure you know how rare that is. At the front of the store there is many commemorations from local charities and youth groups. Who ever owns this seems like a generous person who cares alot about his staff and loves the Lord.
So in my book it's one of the best places to eat...
Read moreI wasn't a fan. The food was not quality. The quesdilla didn't have melted cheese, it was just cold and shredded between 2 tortillas, but one waiter did reheat it up for us after we asked about it! Our waitress was not very attentive, actually another waitress was the only one asking if we needed something when we were looking around. There was one waitress there who keep complaining to the table next to her about how her feet and back hurt and she wanted to take a break, but no one would run the food out for her. She was constantly walking around and saying how much she hated the job and how she wasn't going to be able to move in the morning, so overall really unprofessional. It ruins our mood when trying to eat and the poor group at the table next to us had no clue what to say to her as she went on and on about it. I don't think I would return, we had a really awful time. This is our 2nd time trying this location and the last time we had no real issue with the service, it was just the food...
