McDonald's — Restaurant in Rock Island

I just went into the McDonald's ordered my food with my last little money's I could spend on myself and asked them to make it fresh in not usually very picky but the baby I'm growing is at 5 and a half months I ordered one cheese burger the bread was hard but I ate it because I was really hungry I then ordered a 6 piece chicken nugget large fry and another cheese burger asking them to make it fresh and immediately getting dirty looks from the staff I got my food the cheese burger was made right this time but the fries were stale and cold I told them and they asked if everything else was ok I took one bite of the chicken nuggets and they were also cold and stale they took the food and said they would remake it the fries tasted better so I assumed they remade everything the right way but they didn't they took the chicken nuggets I had already bitten off of and put them back in the grease they now want me to walk back 30 minutes with the food and proof of what I bought that's not really the part that's bugging me though no walking 30 minutes 5 and a half months pregnant is not ideal but the part that really gets me is them taking the food I already took a bite from and putting it back in the grease that's is absolutely disgusting and they didn't seem remorseful about it at all just irritated I was complaining I'm very sick right now and contagious there's no telling how many people will get sick from eating here due there negligence and lack of care for food safety laws I really would never go as far as to leave a review but these people were rude and what they've done trying to save a few minutes is absolutely disgusting and disturbing ever since they hired new staff everything has gon down hill this is the last time I'll be going there and I advise you do the same there's no telling how many people's spit and saliva is cooked...

UPDATE: After my previous bad experience, service has been excellent. However, McCrispy strips are RUBBERY, go to Taco Bell for great chicken instead.

I had previously rated this McDonald's a strong five stars. This was based on visits I had made in the morning. Unfortunately, I had the great misfortune of visiting this McDonald's in the evening. I went in and was going to order on their terminal, but my credit card was already in the app so I just ordered in the app, and then patiently waited for my order. The app told me that I was at McDonald's and that my order would be ready soon. And waited, and waited, and waited! I lost track of how long I was there, but it was a half hour at the minimum and may have even been an hour. I was thinking man, this place must be very busy! I was sitting near the counter, looking at the counter, waiting for my order the whole time I was there. Eventually, an employee asked me if I had an order and I gave them the number. Within a couple minutes, they brought my order out. I asked them if there was a problem because I had been there for at least a half hour. They told me that they do not make the orders for mobile app orders until you come up to the counter. It did not tell me in the app to come up to the counter, it told me I was at McDonald's and my order would be ready soon. What is the point of placing an order in the mobile app if they aren't even going to start making it until you are there... you might as well just order when you are there. An AB-SO-LUTE JOKE! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID unless you are going in the morning, when the management is very obviously different! A nice McDonald's, they sure put a lot more bacon on the burgers than they do in California! Food is always great. Service is decent. (I have only been here in the mornings, so I can’t comment on the store after breakfast hours) Store never feels 100% clean but it never feels dirty either. I don’t eat in at this location but they definitely change out their grease often and when I ask for special requests (no onion, well done bacon, etc.) my requests are always done properly. Stopping here in the mornings has become a several time a week habit now. Bathrooms are also relatively clean. Overall great store. I often see an older man in street clothes there and although he doesn’t wear a name tag you can tell he’s probably someone high up, manager or owner of some sort. This man often times will be taking orders, helping fill orders, etc. so whoever he is, he isn’t too big to remember how to run the register and make French fries. Nowadays it’s rare to see an owner working next to his employees. He is always very nice to customers and employees, same with the staff. What a difference it makes in employee and customer satisfaction to have a boss who will actually help their crews when needed.
