When this restaurant first opened, we decided to go in and try. I've always wanted to try hotpot. I was not disappointed. the service was great, they explained the whole process and were very prompt. Staff was well kept, and the entire restaurant had a clean and calm atmosphere. we even were able to try items they hadn't released on the menu and were able to approve of it to be on the menu. Fast forward almost a year. We went in, and a lot has changed with the atmosphere for the best. There are more decorative items in the establishment. The environment is still calm. They have added a Boba shop, menus with menu item staples, and more lighting and plants to complete the feel. The menu is very easy to navigate and explains to you how to order. The staff is still prompt and well kept. They even have autonomous service with a robot, which would be a cool experience as a couple on a date! They were very accommodating to our 1 year old son and concerned with him being young enough to not be able to chew completely on certain things. The food is fresh, amazing and so good. They do tell you on the menu that any food left over will have a charge due to cutting down on food waste, which I think is a very intuitive and amazing thing to do. It's all you can eat, but be careful not to over order. The quality for the price is slightly skewed, in my opinion. However, with everything they've added and provided, it's worth it. Let me know if you try this restaurant. And if this helps you try it, like this review. Fyi, the place is tucked away in the commerce center and is slightly difficult to find if you haven't been there before. Drive into the commerce bank atm entrance, and it is right across from...
Read moreThrilled to have a hot pot restaurant in Rock Springs. The food is excellent too.
There is a bit of a leaning curve involved, though. While their website says more is coming (including Korean bbq), it’s currently limited to soups. You choose a base soup (we chose tomyum and mushroom), and then select the ingredients that will go into the soup from a menu of proteins and vegetables. For example, American wagyu beef, shrimp, bok choy, enoki mushrooms, quail eggs, and dumplings. The table has burners, and the soup is heated and ingredients added and cooked right there. You can also add different sauces from a sauce bar.
They consider this a buffet and charge $33 per person. I disagree with the definition of buffet. It is all-you-can-eat but neither of us filled up on the one serving and still had soup in the cooking bowl. If I were to value it, I’d say $20 max, especially as they wouldn’t let us take the leftovers (wasteful). Also, for the price point, I was surprised they wouldn’t take care of the bill at the table and we had to go to the counter to pay like we were at McDonalds. This last bit (being told no to leftovers we paid well for and having to go to the counter) left a bad taste in my mouth.
Not sure if we’ll go back. While the food was good, too pricey...
Read moreAtmosphere of this place is great. Good lighting and nice jazz music playing. I’ve never been to a hot pot restaurant before, but the menu was easy to understand and the waiter answered any questions we had. It was me and my husband going there and we both got our own soup base flavors and it worked out well. The meats do come out frozen, but I think that makes sense since they are shaved so thin. It was all you can eat and for the price, I thought it was a good deal. They have one of those little waiter robot which I thought was cool. Everything was delicious. Only possible complaint I could have is how sweet the brown sugar boba milk tea is, but I think I could have just asked for no/less syrup. My husband got the crème brûlée boba tea and it was much less sweet. They also have a good selection of...
