I recently had the opportunity to visit Hole In One Rockland, a new business in the area. My first visit was more of an exploratory one, just to familiarize myself with the new location and offerings. Unfortunately, the experience was less than welcoming. Despite the staff being busy, their body language and attitude seemed perturbed by my interest in their offerings. This was a stark contrast to the former Honeydew, which always made me feel appreciated as a customer.
My second visit was similar to the first. I decided to order more this time - a dozen assorted doughnuts. However, instead of a variety, I was given quite a few duplicates, not exciting at all. The feeling of being rushed persisted, and the staff's attitudes remained flatline. This experience left me unsure about returning, a sentiment I never felt when this place was a Honeydew.
As for the doughnuts themselves, they were rather bland. Considering what I paid for them, they just didn't seem worth it. I was genuinely excited when I heard that a new business was opening in the area, especially one that wasn't another Dunkin' or a remodel of the old Honeydew. However, nothing about my experiences at Hole In One Rockland was exceptional.
While I wish the best of luck to Hole In One Rockland, I can't say that my experiences have been positive. Perhaps I will give it another try someday, but for now, it's not a place I plan on frequenting. It's a real shame, as I had high hopes for this new...
Read moreWent here for the first time today. I got the asiago bagel toasted with plain cream cheese, and the strawberry Boston cream and a large iced chai with oat milk. Will definitely be coming back.
The staff is super friendly. They have such a wide variety of items between cinnamon twists and different flavors. Turnovers, cupcakes, muffins, donuts, apricot squares, and raspberry squares, bagels, different flavors of cream cheese. They also have some gluten-free options such as gluten-free bagels. Not to mention all the different types of coffees. They offer different flavor shots and sugar free ones as well, they even have cold brew and sweet cream. And not only do they have coffee drinks, but they also have chai, iced tea, and kombucha. They even have nondairy milk. I really appreciate the wax bags because a paper bag like you would get from any other donut or coffee shop. Your donut is going to stick to the bag and the frosting is going to fall off and you’re not gonna enjoy...
Read moreThis place has a vast assortment of treats and savory foods. The grill was closed by 3, so be aware it does close at least 2 hours before the shop, but they have delicious bagels (apparently from NY, but I’m not sure the company. Curious.). I got a spinach with plain cream cheese.
I wish they had asked if I wanted it toasted because I didn’t. I wanted it for breakfast tomorrow and now it will be hard. It was too late to say anything when they already put it in the toaster.
The donuts I wasn’t a fan of, but the gluten free cookies were phenomenal (and they have a number of gluten free and vegan items).
They also have kombucha!!! What donut place has kombucha?!
It’s funny that a donut shop is next to the police headquarters. Ah the irony.
Plenty of parking.
Ramp access.
Bathroom too.
Vera affordable (my three items...
