We have been a member of Key Allegro Yacht Club for several years. I am always shocked at how the office staff talks to their members. They are short, rude, and seem put out to have to answer your questions. Two examples of problems I have had are the following. Someone charged dinner on our member number. When I called to let them know we were not even in town that weekend, they were not pleasant about the situation. I told them from now on, put a note on our account that we will pay by credit card and not charge anything on our account. Well, it happened again! I had to go through the same stuff with them! I just called to make a reservation for Sunday evening. I asked if she knew if they were full for Sunday in case I needed to add a few people to our reservation. She scoffed on the phone and said, well, I have no idea how many people might come on Sunday night. That is not something I can predict. I was only asking her to look at the current reservations and let me know. She said she did not have them in front of her. It would be nice to have someone pleasant...
Read moreWe went with a member of K.A.Y.C for brunch. The greeter should be taught how to greet guests. She was surly ,almost rude not attentive and pointed to the table that we were suppose to sit at. The waitress Tori was a lot better but that is where the good ended. Surroundings were ok ,the place was empty but we were wedged in between two tables . Next to another table of people that were so close we could have picked at their food, occasionally bumped elbows .There were over 5 other empty tables around us. The server delivered the food lukewarm , the club sandwich was reasonable size but was served on soggy bread ,the fries were over salted . My companion ordered a BLT with crisp bacon she received a cold toasted sandwich with hardly cooked bacon and over salted fries . The member ordered an omelette which was not finished and a side of hardly cooked bacon. We did not return the food or say anything to the member about the terrible food or how we were seated. Before taxes & tip the bill came to $72.50 . Management has to do better to fix the kitchen and staff . The food...
Read moreThis was my favorite place for crab cakes. They were thick and filled with lots of crab. Had them about 3 weeks ago and they've changed them. Now they're larger around, but flat. We're served with spoonful of Remeloude sauce puddled in the middle of each. And that was all, no side, no garnish. It really didn't look appetizing. And they totally changed them. No where near the amount of crab in them as there used to be, and they were spicy - way too spicy. You should be able to taste and enjoy the crab, not have it overpowered with spice. Don't know if they have a new chef or are just trying...
