I’ve had multiple bad experiences at this location! The first time I went here, I ordered to go. When I arrived, I paid and expected my food to already be ready for me. This did not happen. I paid and was told to wait because they were still preparing my food after about 20 minutes of waiting I find out that they actually gave my to go order to an Uber eats driver. Instead of immediately remaking my order the lady tells me that she spoke with the guy and he’s on his way back with my food and that I had to wait for him to come back. I told her I wanted them to remake my food because at that point he had my food for at least 20 minutes and that didn’t include the time it would take for him to get back. She says okay and goes in the kitchen but didn’t actually tell them to remake my food. So, after another 20 minutes the Uber eats guy comes back with the food and the lady asks me if I wanted the food that he brought back or if I wanted them to remake my order. I told her that I wanted them to remake my food like I asked earlier. So, they remake my food and I get my order after another 15 minutes of waiting and they didn’t offer me any sort of compensation for the inconvenience. I figured they would have offered me a discount for next time or a free drink or something but no they just wasted an hour of my time. SECOND experience, I decided to give them another chance. I ordered a strawberry banana pancake stack to go. They had the bad laying on its side I assumed this was because of the shape of the pancake container so I carried the bag out that way. When I got home, I picked up the bag in an upright position and pulled out the pancake container and to my surprise there was a hole at the bottom. So everything fell out of the bottom. The worst part is there were no bananas or whipped cream in the bag for an order of strawberry banana pancakes. Also, the strawberry container only had strawberry syrup and TWO strawberries. As someone who has been to many ihop locations, this one has probably been the worst EVER! I will probably disrobe to a further location just to avoid having to deal with this terrible...
Read moreI have been a customer at this particular location since they opened. I know several of the wait staff by name. However, for the very first time, I was extremely disappointed with the service I received. I have been working with people in the retail industry for many years. You absolutely never know the reason why things happen. We arrived 30 minutes before closing the manager, welcomed us with open arms. However, the waiter that we received was extremely unfriendly. It was clear by the look on his face. We apparently just ruined his day. It was actually the very first time we didn’t have fun joking around with our waiter. Yes, everyone gets tired and everyone wants to go home. What you don’t know is all four of us have major health issues. We spent the entire day working on a huge project. We lost track of time and we were absolutely starving. When you are working in an environment with the public, you never show those emotions to your customers. I’ve had those same frustrations with customers coming in the last minute. I’ve learned you never know the reason. You absolutely never know who your customers are. I had a customer come in one night and for a minute I was frustrated because I was gonna miss my bus. I looked up to God and said I know you have a reason. I’m gonna take a deep breath, smile and be the sweetest person I can. It turns out when I went to check her out she shared with me that she appreciates me so much. The very next day she was going to her husband’s funeral. It was really nice to do something. A little fun for myself. After spending the entire day, getting everything ready for the funeral. Read moreI use to love coming here for brunches after nights out with my friends. I recently had an extremely unpleasant and uncomfortable situation in which an employee made a crass comment that I “always bring in different men with me to the restaurant after spending the night with them”. I was absolutely floored than an employee would make this comment about me, a loyal customer, without knowing the full context of my relation to the people who I dine with.
To make matters worse, this comment was made after another diner verbally attacked me for “having a loud and annoying voice”. This woman literally SCREAMED and was publicly cursed me as I tried to eat my food, drawing in a MASSIVE amount of unwanted attention to me when I simply wanted to enjoy brunch with my friend. Rather than defending me or trying to ease the situation, the iHop employee at this location made the crude comment about me which only served to further my embarrassment.
A lot of the other employees were very nice and talked to me after the incident. These individuals listened to what I had to say about the incident and my general daze of why it was happening at all. An employee even used her own money to purchase a mini restaurant coupon gift for me as a nice gesture after the event.
However, this does not take away from the fact that one employee in particular made the inaccurate and crass comment about me to another customer.
