El Rodeo — Restaurant in Rocky Mount

The food was great and came out quickly. Ordered cheese on my rice and they brought out a bowl of cheese dip way before my meal was ready. Was over charged for the cheese because the menu states in multiple places that it's $3 more to add or substitute the cheese dip but where it was brought in a bowl they charged it at a higher price $4.50. same as the menu price. The server had a hard time understanding us when he took the order so I assume that's where the miscommunication happened. But otherwise he was friendly. I didn't bring it to the staffs attention because I didn't think they would understand what I was talking about.

Also the chili relleno was amazing, most places give you a small serving with a tiny pepper, this was not the case. I'll be back for another one...

The fajita taco salad had about a cup of sour cream which was way too much. The Texas fajita meat was really bland. Our waiter took forever to serve us, it was our first ime so I was unfamiliar with any alcohol drinks. I asked him what alcohol did he have and he said none. I assumed they didn't have their ABC license but as I sat there waiting for my food, the next 45 minutes, I seen other servers carrying alcoholic mixed drinks to their customers. Haven't had it in a while. Ordered a half order of ACP and a whole ACP with NO VEGGIES and extra cheese sauce. Sure enough paid for the larger order and got 2 half orders. Then get home and start eating to find onions and tomatoes in my food. I understand that everything has went up but at least give the customer what they pay for and ask for when you charge for extra cheese and there is a price difference in the 2 sizes I ordered. Normally ain't disappointed with El rodeo but today I was very disappointed especially since I live 20...
