Well I was super stoked after my first visit here the food was great we had the Ruben and the Brooklyn and a Chicago deep dish. The second visit was a little disappointing. We ordered a Chicago deep dish because the first one really hit it out of the park for a guy in Missouri making Chicago deep dish it was very close. This one was subpar due to the bottom of the crust being charred black and it was not fit to eat the dogs didn’t even eat the crust. Now the next time I went I orders the Brooklyn again and it was very good. So I was excited that the last order was just a fluke and this place was going to be a go to for us. Now that brings me to today we got the Chicago all meat once again as we where excited to taste a delicious pizza you can imagine how disappointed we where to bite into the pizza and the sauce still half frozen so at this point I’ve never complained to the business but I called them to let them know also let them know about the past one as well not asking for any kind of comps for for informational purposes only. I was set back by the attitude of the lady answering the phone basically accusing me of lying about. Sadly Looks like we have had...
Read moreAs a St. Louis transplant, I've been missing a proper mangia spot, that also offers some fresh-cut guanciale for a carbonara or some Blue Stilton for Christmas. Enter D'Vine: a cozy spot on South National with good atmosphere and an incredibly friendly staff. I ordered "The Balboa", my new favorite sandwich in the Springfield-Branson area and the wife tried the Italian Beef, which she was also quite satisfied with. As we were finishing our excellent lunch, a nice lady was kind enough to come around and offer us some samples of French boudin and rabbit sausage. Bene grazie! We did not partake in any wine but they have an impressive selection of domestics and imports, with a number of them opened and ready to serve with their pay-to-pour dispensers. I am already looking forward to paying D'Vine another visit soon, and working my way through their sandwich and salad menu....
Read moreGreat little place with world class meats and cheeses and excellent choices for wine and beer. You can get deli items by the pound to take home (along with crackers, olives, etc) or you can dine in from a selection of sandwiches, salads, and charcuterie boards (fully customizable).
Our two sandwiches were the Balboa - Italian meats, fresh mozz, roasted red pepper, and pesto - and the Italian Beef - slow roasted beef, double dipped in the gravy, with smoked provolone and giardiniera. Outstanding! Both very well done with a nice balance of flavors.
Their craft beer curation is very good, and their wine by the glass is done with a special tap system that gives you a two/four/or six oz pour - it's a great way to try new wines or have a little bit of several!
We'll be...
