Atmosphere is spot on, it's exactly what you'd expect to see for a ramen shop. Service was kind and accommodated for my taste that was a little off the menu. (I wanted a pork tonkotsu ramen) so they made a side of it for me with my chicken ramen. The gyoza was probably one of the tastiest I've had here on the mainland. Chicken karaage was spectacular as well. My only wish was that the chicken ramen broth was a little more flavorful.

I have eaten at Jidaiya a few times when I come to Rohnert park and each time their sushi is exceptional. The staff is incredibly friendly and on time. I highly recommend eating here and if you live in the area do not pass them up! They are also affordable and got all of this for $31 after tax and tip. They even stamp the wasabi into a leaf which is a nice aesthetic touch 5⭐️

I was supposed to travel to Japan in spring of 2020. Needless to say, that trip hasn't happened yet. I'm so excited to have just found this wonderful little place. From the moment we stepped in we felt welcomed. The sushi was great, the sake was great, and this green tea ice cream was fantastic. Can't wait to get back.

Worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. Period! They have their doors, front and back open otherwise the smell of old cooking oil would completely overwhelm the place, regardless you need to shower and wash your clothes to get rid of that smell if you dare to dine there. We did :( The portions of fish in the sushi are so small it’s hard to determine what roll is what. One roll that was supposed to have soft shell crab, had zero crab and just something crunchy in the middle, my fiancé thought it was chicken skin, since that’s the only flavor this disgraceful roll gave. Even the iced tea I ordered was pure leaf iced tea served in the plastic bottle it was bought in! I should have left as soon as it arrived. The waitress hurriedly took it away after I poured it in my glass, seemingly embarrassed as she should have been. I was finished with what I had ordered but my fiancé still had an order of ramen coming. We secretly hoped they had forgot but unfortunately it finally arrived and was as disappointing as what had come before. The seafood ramen with its over cooked seafood and weirdly pink looking mussels that I warned her not to eat sat in front of her. She was braver than I and had a few bites. She politely asked to take it to go but only to dump all of it in the nearest garbage can as we walked the shopping center. I can’t understand why this place is still open!! It was over 80 dollars for a few rolls and ramen, not cheap. Perhaps they exist on unknowing college kids or fake reviews, I don’t know but if you are looking for sushi in rohnert park take this off your list or you’ll be beyond disappointed! They...

Soo.... Placed an order and it took a long time for delivery but it was a huge party type platter and mother's day .. I did call GrubHub after an hour delay of delivery passed and they told me the order was cancelled which I was never informed of. Anyway- the money was refunded and we moved on with other dinner plans . Then about 45 min later a knock on the door and there oour order! The restaurant has never cancelled the order-grubhub did ! And didn't tell the restaurant either. The woman delivering it was an employee of the place as she had on their uniform. She called the restaurant and explained to them what happened- I showed her the text I got after I hung up with GrubHub that showed it was cancelled. They apologized and gave us the order anyway. We will go back as soon as we can and order the same thing and...

We ordered delivery, our first experience with Jidaiya. The cuts of fish were shockingly small - the smallest I have ever received at any sushi restaurant. I called to ask if we had accidentally received appetizer versions of the entrees we ordered. He said fish was expensive and that's why the pieces were small, and that no one had ever complained about it before. But I see that's not true in the recent reviews. 8 items and $80 later and we were both still hungry. As for flavor and presentation, our usual favorite sushi dishes were bland, with no thought to presentation. Though comically miniscule, at least the fish was fresh. Perhaps I'm spoiled with other sushi restaurants in town, but this was not it...
