I've been to this place maybe four or five times. The food is decent, and they are willing to customize food to order. The reason for three stars is that nothing ever seems to come out perfect for me. For instance, my very first order was 2 tacos all pastor with a side of refried beans. This is an easy order at most tacquerias. Tacos came out quick. No beans. I ate while I waited. They didn't come until I reminded them. This very thing happened again the second time, though I mentioned it earlier this time. Later, I tried coming back and this time noticed ground beef on the menu. Awesome. Ground beef is increasingly rare among genuine Mexican food places. I ordered my childhood favorite: a ground beef and bean burrito with enchilada sauce and cheese on top. Everything but the cheese made it out. I can deal and I did. It got too busy for me to say anything. It could have used some salsa on the inside of the burrito, too (and refried beans instead of whole pintos in an ideal world). I tried this order again today. They were out of ground beef. Cheese made it into the mix this time, but only on the interior. Inside the burrito, things were still too separate and dry. Individual chunks of crane asada (as you'd expect) and individual pinto beans with some lightly melted cheese. I guess I can't get that molten mess of refried beans, ground beef, and salsa/ground beef seasoning that makes for a good wet burrito (along with the enchilada sauce and cheese on top). It's still a...
Read moreUse to be my families go to for Mexican food and were regular customers that went twice a week and spent over $100 dollars a time. The guy who is normally cooking (the owner?) who had left the door opened the restaurant one day yelled at my wife that they were closed, that was one incident that left a sour feeling, he always glares at customers but the food is delicious so we shrugged it off, but they have this new young girl working there who has the absolute worst attitude, we always do take out and the last few times leading up to the last straw got very angry when i didn't give her the virtual tip on the pin pad. The very last time I asked if everything was the bag and she said "yup" and when we got home I realized my daughters quesadilla and my fathers Super burrito wasn't in the bag, I called and she said "yeah you left a bag on the counter" which I did not. And later that night my mom texted me saying my dad was throwing up.. it could be a coincidence and I try to be an optimist but with the attitudes from the staff and my pop getting sick. I'm sad to say this isn't my go-to anymore and I don't recommend them to friends which I always did saying they were the best. You guys make a mean burrito but you should check your entitled employees and the owner should try smiling once in a while and greeting customers. There are two different girls working the register, the plus size young lady is fantastic, it's the skinny young lady who is...
Read moreHad to change my review from a 5 star to 2 after hyping this place up only to be disappointed by the rudest waitress, her vibe the way she slammed the food down, and this wasn't my first encounter with her, and although she was rude last time, I thought I should give her the benefit of doubt, as if maybe it was just a bad day, but no, she's just rude. I may give this place another shot in the future but if she's working the front, I'm exiting. One of the reasons why I'm willing to pay high prices, such as your drinks, is for the vibe, the experience, but if it's poor, it ruins...
