This was beyond mediocre and I absolutely would never recommend going to this restaurant. We ordered the family meal with 25 raw oysters, 1/2 lb shrimp and 1/2 lb crab for for $70. 10 minutes later we were told "By the way, shucking 25 oysters takes to long. We'll do 12 but you have to do the other 12 or pay an extra $5." I'm sorry, I'm at a restaurant. If I wanted to shuck my own oysters, I'd go to the fish store, and buy them for 1/3 of this restaurant's price. We ordered a different meal that only had 12 oysters at that point. We should have seen the writing on the wall and walked out. The shrimp, both steamed and grilled, were way overcooked and rubbery and chewy. The crab was not precracked at all but when we asked for crab crackers we were told they only had one pair of crab crackers for the entire restaurant. We asked twice for small seafood forks to dig out the crab. Then we had to ask three times for the corn and hushpuppies that were included with our meal. They finally came out after we had finished eating the seafood when we were ready for the check. We drove 40 minutes because the reviews were good and it looked like a fun place. If you order frozen fried fish and french fries you'd probably be fine, but you can get that anywhere and definitely don't need to drive...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy first time to experience E&Jās. We tried a bunch of different options from the menu. The Buffalo Chicken Dip was outstanding, the Mac nāCheese bites melt in your mouth, the Mahi Mahi strips were delicious as was the dipping sauce, the french fries are sprinkled with their special seasoning that is exceptional, my granddaughter said the E&J street corn was definitely the best she had ever had. The big hit for my family was the large LCB, it was prepared to perfection. Shrimp, sausage, corn, & potatoes were expertly seasoned amd just absolutely delicious. Great interaction with the friendly & helpful staff. Earl and Jerry made us feel right at home. If you have not been to E&Jās Seafood Shack, you missing out on great food & great people. I recommend to go check it out, it is worth the trip. P. S. Try a slice of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and I decided to take the 30min trip from our house in Elizabethtown, NC to Roseboro, NC to see what all the hype was about with this new restaurant called Earl and Jerryās. We were blown away with what we found! One of the owners (Jerry) met us at the door and immediately made us feel like family. He walked us in and showed us around the restaurant. It reminded us of being at a restaurant on the beach. He went threw the menu with us explaining what everything was as well as gave us his recommendations. (buffalo chicken dip for appetizer and the Surf and Turf for entree) We went with his recommendations and were blown away with how delicious it was. I would highly recommend Earl and Jerryās to anyone that lives local or is passing threw town. YOU WILL NOT...
