After my experience I will never go back. I have lived in Roseburg for 13 years and this the first time I've ever told people not to go to a restaurant. The food was bad, the waitress made excuses and argued with me that the food was not bad. I told her I wasn't going to argue she can taste it for herself. I later found out that she is also the Manager. I also had an eggroll that was so bad I couldn't identify the taste other than tasting rotten or spoiled. I observed the table to my left also sending their food back and a table behind me was also complaining about the eggroll. The chef/owner came out and apologized told me they were frozen, something new they were trying and he would no longer being ordering them. He was very nice and professional. I had further Christmas shopping to do after lunch but had to end my day early to get home to a toilet. I spent a lot of time there the days following. It lasted a long time and things are still not completely back to normal. About 2 weeks after eating there I called the restaurant to see if other people were calling complaining of being sick. The first waitress told me lots of people have been eating in Roseburg and getting sick lately. She gave the phone to the Manager/waitress and I asked her the same question. She told me she remembered me and said she tried the eggroll after I left and insisted it was good. She also argued telling me they were made fresh in house even though the owner told me they were frozen. She then argued with me that food poisoning takes longer to hit. I told her she was correct and it also doesn't last for weeks. There's other things than food poisoning especially if someone doesn't wash their hands properly after using the restroom. After reading reviews I do see that other people have complained about getting sick after eating at this restaurant. After the poor tasting food, getting sick and argumentative Manager I would not recommend...
Read moreFinally, great Chinese food in Roseburg! And Thai, too! I cried when Bangkok West closed because due to a severe dairy sensitivity, Asian food is pretty much the only kind of restaurant food I can have since Thai and Chinese cuisine seldom use dairy. There's another Thai restaurant in town that's okay, but no good Chinese food. I even drove all the way to Eugene just to try to get some decent Chinese, lol.
I was delighted to read online that new owners would be taking over, so I waited eagerly for more information about it, but never heard anything. We found out from a random source that Delightful Kitchen has taken over Bangkok West's old place. Both times I've eaten there, it was excellent. The owners are very nice, and it's a quite pleasant and relaxed environment.
Please give these guys your business so I don't have to drive two hours for decent...
Read moreI am new to the area and have been trying to figure out all the good places to eat.. Today when I was talking about getting dinner my boss said him and his wife ate here and really enjoyed it. I placed an order over the phone to pick up - Crystal was so helpful and kind while she took my order/answered all my questions. She definitely went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my order which I really appreciated. Everything I ordered was delicious! This will be my new go to spot when I’m craving Asian food (they have a mix of Chinese/Thai)! I recommend the bbq pork fried rice, chicken low main, and general...
