The chef and waitress are nice people, don't get me wrong, but the way this restaurant operates, I can't really endorse it at all. I ordered through UberEats and received only half my order. I called the restaurant to see what happened and the chef said he did send me only half the order and that he'd make it on the spot and I can go pick it up... remember I ordered for UberEats so this is already super inconvenient... but whatever, I'm hungry and want the food I paid for. So the order through UberEats was 2 Sushi for Two which was 2 specialty rolls + a California roll... if I order 2 through the app, you'd expect 4 specialty rolls and 2 California rolls... I went and picked up my order and he only gave me the 2 specialty rolls and he made up some excuse to not give me the other California roll... so not only did he admittedly mess up the original order cause he confirmed his oversight and only made 1 of the 2... he also didn't compensate me for the trouble of having to pick up my order for his mistake AND didn't give me the California roll that's supposed to be included. The sushi was fine, nothing to write home about, but the way the restaurant is being operated leaves a lot to be desired unfortunately. I won't be ordering from here again just because it's a headache to get a proper order out of this place. And even when it's the restaurant's fault, I'm the one who fronts all the inconveniences. It's unfortunate cause the man and lady seem like nice people but they need to understand that good service and making customers whole after their mistakes goes a very long way in creating loyal, life-long...
Read moreI only ordered delivery so I’m not sure if it is a Grubhub issue or if it is the restaurant’s issue but I ordered sushi for 2(correction. I originally wrote sushi for 4, but that was a typo) (sushi for 2 however comes with 4 rolls), the edamame, California roll, hibachi chicken fried rice and the hibachi vegetables. Portions were good and the food overall tasted good. The big problem was we were missing 2 rolls from the sushi for 2 and the edamame. It made our dinner for 2 adults and 2 children very meager.
Edit ————— I made a mistake, I did order sushi for 2, but that still provides a total of 4 rolls, which I did not receive; I only got 2 out of the 4 rolls for my order :/
Also, I meant to mention this in the original review but the amount of wasabi which was given for each roll was so minuscule, it is literally laughable. Barely felt a tingle and certainly did not help clear my nasal passage to provide me with the ability to use my olfactory to better enjoy the meal as it is...
Read moreI don't know who's giving this place 5 star reviews. Perhaps the kitchen food is good but this is not a sushi restaurant. I stopped in for lunch and ordered the "sashimi lunch". Apparently l, the fresh fish selection is so limited that I got broiled eel as one of the four selections. The others were salmon (not bad), tuna (coarse probably from being frozen) and a tasteless unidentifiable white fish .(I think it was supposed to be yellowtail). I miss daikon radish when it's not served with sashimi. I know a lot of places substitute carrot these days but here I got nothing.
Rounding out the lunch was a bowl of miso soup that could have been right from the dry packet.
If you appreciate real sashimi or nigiri,...
