This store was bought out and under new ownership the new owners are foreigners with heavy accents and it's very hard to understand them. I have in the past been able to work my way through that but on today's date January 30th, I went in the store to use a coupon to buy a box of Dilly Bars. Using my app I was able to get a $3 discount on the box. I went to the counter and I brought up the five-digit discount code that this lady did not understand. You have two ways to do this you can do it by a barcode or you can give the counter person a five-digit code. The purchase went South pretty quicklywhen the new owner became upset that I was using the five digital code method. She wanted me to use the barcode. No problem I tried to do that but I could not go back and bring the barcode up but the 5-digit code was still good for the next 15 minutes. She got nasty with me eventually telling me that that five-digit code was for use at another store only not theirs. I told her that she was dead wrong that the codes DONT go by the store. She became even angrier telling me that I don't understand. She then turned her back on me and went about her business. I left out of the store vowing never to come back I'll just go to Crown Point from now on. I am a 69 year old retired firefighter engineer and law enforcement officer. I can't help but feel this air of racism?? This woman is darker than me, and I'm sure she has been on the receiving end of the same crap she was handing out.    Read moreHORRIBLE SERVICE. My fiance went there and ordered a mini banana split blizzard. He, however was unaware strawberries came in the blizzard. He is DEATHLY allergic to strawberries. Anyhow, when he received his blizzard he politely told the girl at the drive in window he is allergic to strawberries and could he please have another one made without strawberries, and he tried to give the untouched one back. She replied very rudely "no we are not aloud." So he then asked for his money back since he was unable to receive another blizzard. She, for the second time told him they're not aloud to do that either, and she will lose her job if she does so, and she cannot afford to lose her job because she has two kids at home. Later on I myself went back to this location and had a chat with the owner. He told me the same exact thing his employee told my fiance. Long story short, it turned into a very heated discussion and he gave me back the $3 and what ever cents it was. Why would you rather lose a whole customer rather than just give them another product and or their money back? It's all about customer perception and satisfaction. He was not trying to get "another blizzard" or get over on them. He attempted to give the other one back because he noticed the strawberries right away.    Read moreWe ordered 2 vanilla n chocolate twist cones but they handed them to me they were 99.9% vanilla with just a hint of chocolate so I had them make it again n got the same result. I asked what was going on an the very young kid working the drive thru windows said he didn't know why it was doing that. He didn't even apologize or even try n fix the issue or off it to me at a discount. No wonder that DQ is always empty NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!!! Per your response that u say you hear us consumers well apparently not because as I stated I asked him to fix the issue but instead he did offer no apologies or at least say we are out of chocolate at the moment we only have vanilla plus there were sounded like 3 other people inside he never tried to resolve the problem with the ice cream machine not working properly.
