Be Caffeinated — Restaurant in Rossville

I started a new job in the Rossville area back in the summer and I needed to find a coffee shop near work. My coworker brought me a Hazelnut Bliss from Be Caffeinated and I’ve been hooked ever since!

First of all, every barista is super friendly (they literally call you “friend”), chatty, and laid-back. They treat you like you are the only person in line. All of them try to take the awkwardness out of the tip section during payment time. Super helpful for introverted, people pleasers like myself!

All of them are wonderful but if I had to pick a favorite, Riley is my favorite barista! She’s recommended a few different things to me and they have all been excellent. She recommended the seasonal Honeycrisp Hug iced drink and OMG, it’s super good! It’s ridiculous!

Ok, back to Riley…. She always has a big smile on her face and chats like we’re old friends! Also, she took the time to remember my name.

I used to work in customer service at restaurants, call centers, and the like. You cannot always give the customer what they want but you can make the interaction a pleasant one! A smile and a cheerful tone go a long way. Not rushing the customer goes a long way. Helping the customer figure out what they want goes a long way. I absolutely loved Be Caffeinated. I got the spinach and goat cheese egg bites. I can not even stop talking about how delicious they were. The cold brew was such a good bean. It was seriously smooth and dark. They had sugar free syrups. I got white mocha! Which is never a thing. My one star deduction was that their website is impossible to read. I tend to be awkward and i wanted to have a gameplan in mind. Also the person taking my order, who was very nice in general, confused me while I was trying to order. I ordered a iced coffee, and he then asked if I meant a iced latte or cold brew. I have been a coffee addict since I was 15 and a barista as a minor in college at this point, I knew the difference, but I get it . Sometimes people get a little confused. It made me feel self-conscious like I somehow ordered it wrong. Great coffees... muffins were lacking but it isnt called "Be Muffinated" now is it? *BEWARE!!.... The turn through the drive thru is TIGHT!! There SHOULD be a sign stating "Midsized vehicle or smaller!" before you pull in there as there is a concrete wall and post that will block you in. You will then have to have everyone move there cars from behind you so you can back out. I made it through in our full-sized SUV but if it wasn't me driving I would have been nervous. There is no way my extended cab, long wheelbase F-250 would make that turn.... not a snowball's...
