Interesting restaurant with an interesting concept. Small but pretty place (Old J Christopher's behind VG's). They did a great job with the decor except the fake flowers don't go with the funky design of the rest of the place. LOVE the staff uniforms. Remind me of older times when people cared about the way they presented themselves - very classy! In fact, I think this place should be a classy, Supper Club! Like they had in the 'old days' - where folks dressed up and went out for a night on the town! To me, that's what the ambiance/decor is like, except for the fake flowers around the door. I just think the decor says 'nice dinner place' versus a brunch place.

Definitely give it a shot. It's worth it just to see the inside and sit at the small, but cool, bar! You can tell the staff cares very much and that is mostly lacking nowadays and is...
Read moreIf the breaking dawn had a taste, a sound, a touch, it would be encapsulated within the enchanting embrace of Morningbirds. This isn't just another brunch spot; it's a transcendent experience that redefines the very concept of the morning meal. From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to a different dimension where every sense was heightened, every emotion magnified, every expectation shattered — all thanks to the culinary alchemy at work in Morningbirds' kitchens.
The atmosphere? Simply out of this world. Imagine the love child of a Parisian café and a secret garden, with an ambience that whispers the delicate harmony of a waking world. The gentle morning light filters through lush greenery, casting playful shadows over rustic, yet elegantly laid out table settings. The soft, melodious background music is like a gentle morning breeze itself, carrying away the remnants of sleep and wrapping guests in a comforting blanket of serenity. This place doesn't just serve breakfast; it serves a mood, an aura — it's a celestial experience on Earth.
Now, let’s talk about the pièce de résistance, the fluffy eggs. To call them "fluffy" would be an understatement; "cloud-like" would paint a closer picture. These eggs are a marvel, a fluffy foray into perfection, so impossibly light and airy that they seem to dissolve on the tongue, leaving behind a symphony of subtle, savory notes and a longing for the sensation to never end. The texture is an enigma, defying all culinary logic and yet, here it is, a testament to the chef's mastery and ingenuity.
I confess, I've never been one to indulge in pork dishes, but the bacon steak at Morningbirds is a game changer. Picture the richest, most savory cut of pork, cooked to such precise perfection that it captures the very essence of umami. The outside is gloriously caramelized, hinting at a slight crunch, while the inside is tender to the point of decadence. It’s a bold, flavorful journey, with each bite more satisfying than the last. For anyone who, like me, generally sidesteps pork, I implore you to give this one a try. It’s not just food; it’s a revelation.
Morningbirds isn’t just a breakfast venue; it’s a culinary odyssey that respects the first meal of the day for the art that it truly is. It's a place where each dish is a masterpiece, and the atmosphere is the gallery. Whether you're a local or a traveler, do yourself a favor: visit Morningbirds. Indulge in the symphony of flavors, and let your senses be awakened. This is more than a meal; it's an exquisite beginning that will redefine your expectations of what brunch can and should be. Morningbirds doesn’t just serve food; it serves moments, memories, and undeniable joy. A visit here is a rhapsody of delight that you’ll carry with you, long after the last crumbs have...
Read moreThis may be a little long. But I did come upon this place by someone’s TikTok on my fyp, and I wrote it down to try this particular weekend. I can only speak on my experience, and that’s what this review will show. Upon opening the door, I believe it was stuck so we couldn’t get in. I looked through the window, and saw another customer standing there, but eventually the hostess came around her booth to open it for us. She didn’t say “Hey, I’m sorry the door can jam, come on in.” She held the door and said with a little haste in her voice “It wasn’t locked!” I said “Well, we couldn’t get in, and that’s why I knocked.” She then goes to say, “All you had to do was push down.” Still responding with a little spice in her chest. I chose to be the bigger person and ignore what I knew was going on. So I immediately said with a smile, “We have a reservation 4 at 12pm.” No attitude from me, I knew I wanted to have a great experience, so I overrode that interaction mentally!
We waited for less than 10 mins, and were seated. Our server Jayden!!!! 10/10, the sweetest and most attentive. It was his first day on the floor, and he did really well. A lot of things come A La Carte, so keep that in mind. I started off with a cafe latte, almond milk with a shot of caramel syrup. It was the perfect temp and flavor! For my entree, I got the American Bird (their omelette) no cheese, but had it with peppers onions, basil and spinach. Turkey bacon and their biscuit came on the side. The omelette was EXCELLENT! The consistency of the eggs paired with the sautéed vegetables was everything! The turkey bacon was uncured, so it cooked well. And the biscuit was probably my least favorite on the plate. I ate the bottom half with their mixed berry jelly, and it was still just okay. The decor in the place was very well thought out. I loved the texture of the seating, it was comfortable & relaxing, the chandelier over the bar and the color scheme of the flowers that wrapped around the center columns added a nice touch. At the end of our visit, IF the hostess was there, she did not say goodbye, or thanks for coming. It most certainly was another server who happened to be standing toward the exit. Now keep in mind, it wasn’t until we were all out of the door (while it was still opened, that she said “Have a good day, thanks for coming.” I did left feeling some type of way, but I put it behind me because the food was appetizing. All in all, I’d say it was a 7-8/10. Please note, If it weren’t for our actual server, I would have given the service a 3 out of 5.
However, I definitely encourage you to give it a try!
