I've been coming to Thai House since I was 2 (from their old location to the current one) and it is hands down the best Thai food I've ever had. 20 years later, I still come back and have been visiting consistently throughout all the years. In one of the recent times I visited, one of the staff members that I didn't know personally recognized me from when I came when I was little and that was a very heart warming moment. I also know the owner, Cameron, and he is such a wonderful man. The staff at Thai House is extremely kind and I always feel so welcomed and at home when I visit. I'm so shocked that this is the first time I'm writing a review for this amazing restaurant. It's probably because I eat everything before I have time to take pictures LOL! I came here tonight again and had to write a beaming review
Read moreWe were near Roswell downtown in the evening and were interested in eating Thai for dinner. Thai House was a nearby and highly rated restaurant which we found on Google and so we went there for dinner. The market complex in which it is situated is dark without sufficient street light in the parking lot or in front of the restaurant.
We were promptly seated as there was not much crowd on a Saturday night. The menu consisted of Thai and Chinese dishes. They also have a full section of Vegan items on the menu. They have both indoor/booth and outdoor patio seating. The restaurant is adorned with statues and Asian decor.
For appetizers we ordered Basil Roll(Thai with shrimp) and Coconut soup with vegetables. The Basil Roll was fresh and aromatic and tasted good. The coconut soup was in large quantity and was good for three people. It was brought in a heated vessel and was refreshing with vegetables in it. From the vegan menu, we also ordered vegetable spring rolls, which were served with wasabi sauce. We did not like it because it was oozing with a lot of oil. We had to return it and the server took it back without any issues.
For the main entree, we ate Bangkok Shrimp Curry and Spicy Flat Noodle (with shrimp, chicken and beef). Both the dishes were indicated as spicy but they were too mild for our taste. The Bangkok Shrimp curry had a lot of onions and a very flat taste. The noodle were a little sweet to taste.
Overall I would rate their food as average. I would however give full points to the service. The server was courteous and came to check upon us on the table...
Read moreWonderful place! The food is terrific and satisfies omnivores, vegetarians and vegans alike. As an omnivore, I ordered a house specialty (mango shrimp) but shared a bit of one daughter's vegan chicken. Both were spectacular as were my wife's Mongolian beef and my other daughter's "real" chicken. The crab rangoons were the best we've had and the vegan wontons equally good. Really? YES! Wonderful taste and uniformly crisp to perfection! Both the real and vegan chicken were tasty and had a bit of crispness that was perfect. The mango sticky rice desert satisfied the entire family - which is amazing given quite a bit of "pickiness" in desert preferences. To top it off, we ate on the outdoor covered patio in wonderful weather, but would have been also happy in the very nice atmosphere inside. We cannot help but be exceptionally pleased with this restaurant given all of the above, but also the fact that it satisfies everyone in the family! The vegan options are even more extensive than many vegan restaurants! Yet that is balanced with an extensive selection for non-vegans, too. WOW! We'll be back. Often!
p.s... My "vegan daughter" mentioned that I ought to specify that the vegan chicken is called "Sue-Jian." Hopefully that'll help others that would love to try this delightful meal!
Adding an update: We went back a week later, because we enjoyed our first experience so much. The second time was just as great! This time we sat in a booth inside so as to enjoy the ambience there. We will...
