I really wish that they had more vegetarian options. Everything seems to have meat or meat based broth, and anything that might work is right where people drop meat items and/or drip juices from meat based things on and over these items. Even at the salad bar there are ham bits dropped everywhere- perhaps consider grouping these items together where cross contamination is less likely to occur? Maybe consider a cheese or veggie pizza SEPARATE from the pepperoni (cutting it with its own color different cutter would also help!) and placing it in a separate area making it less likely that customers will use the same utensil on both the meat and meat free pizzas? How about a couple more options without meat or meat sauces/broths? Or, at the very least, completely separate items on the current menu that are actually completely meatless to a more isolated area within the stations to reduce the risk for those with religious or other dietary restrictions by making cross contamination more difficult (ie; dedicated serving utensils clearly belonging to that area- no one is going to try to use a pizza knife or tongs to dish beans on the plate)? It's absolutely doable. Furthermore, it's easily done! After all, we DO keep the peanuts somewhat corralled to help avoid allergic reactions. On a personal note, I only come back because clients and workers choose the spot. And I can certainly find SOMETHING to eat. But I'm really tired of getting sick after those times when I have eaten something that has been cross contaminated. I may not taste it, but better believe my body knows it when I have! I have a love/hate relationship with this buffet- it can make me very sick, but it's nice to make a large salad and then have sweet potato casserole, pecan pie ala mode and a small piece of fudge for dessert! Still, I would rather avoid the whole contamination issue all...
Read moreI truthfully just cannot enjoy this establishment. 2 people for lunch was $45+. You're packed in like cattle, babies screeching adjacent to our table, the lines physically at the buffet were disorganized and crowded. This was my 1st return visit in 5+yrs. I tried this on a whim as we could not decide on something for lunch. I can't complain about service or kindness of the staff, just to be clear. Our server did a decent job keeping up overall until near the end, when drink refills just stopped (maybe her shift was ending).
I want to like this place, but for me, the atmosphere and overall experience is a $9/person experience... Including drink... and for lunch should be less.
The variety is top notch, but the food quality is mediocre, and coupled with the $45 price tag... I'd like to give a lower rating, but that...
Read moreSo we came here for dinner one night because we were craving a little bit of everything and what does a buffet have? A little bit of everything. We made our plates and we noticed a young lady complaining about the chicken in line that my husband had just went up there and got her didn't want to eat it after a few bites but that's not the point, the point being is we noticed the cook brought out a fresh batch for her let her pick all she wanted and took it back into the kitchen instead of switching it out for everyone to eat. We have never had a problem here at this golden corral but that was a problem for us. Not a deal breaker but you may wanna tell your cooks to switch out the food and not to come out with fresh food for one customer and...
