I would rate the food as 4 stars and the price as 5 stars. However, 2 stars is my final review based on customer service dragging down the other 2 factors.

I ordered the Love boat for 2 which comes with 2 of the chef's special rolls. While one may think this means you get to pick 2 rolls from the special rolls list, it does not; the chef selects 2 rolls of his choosing. That's fine and understandable, the business doesn't want people picking their most expensive rolls. When I reviewed the list of special rolls and saw that they range in price from about $12 to $18, I requested one of my rolls to contain eel...as in the dragon roll which is one of their cheapest rolls, coming in at $12.25. Consequently, you can imagine my surprise when I received a call from Asian Diner telling me they would have to charge me $5 extra if I wanted eel.

I tried to question/explain that it didn't make sense that they couldn't honor my request for one of the cheapest special rolls without upcharging me. No matter what two rolls they would have picked, they could not have picked one cheaper than the dragon roll. I was told eel is expensive right now....yet they never updated their pricing and still list the Dragon Roll at $12.25. So really, this $5 charge is a tax on anyone trying to make special requests. After wasting 5 minutes or more trying to understand this complete lack of logic, I simply told them to give me whatever they wanted.

As a customer that orders from them once a week and spends over $400/month there, you would think some effort to please a loyal customer would have been made. Nope...in the end, when I received my order, there was no eel. Oh well, I guess the owners of Asian Diner are more interested in getting a one time fee of $5, than retaining a...

This review is on behalf of a family member, who at first didn't want to even share this horrible experience with me for he didn't want to feel like he was reliving it. Yesterday my sibling along with his better half, god daughter , two other childhood friends along with their daughter decided collectively to dine at this location on the fact that online they had 4.5 ⭐. The orders were put in and one was to made as requested (special order) And it wasn't made as requested. The waiter was called over and said they can "take this food that's already made and recook it". WAIT that's not the kicker. That offer was declined for ovious reasons. And a request for a different entree was put it. Now an hour or so has passed good conversation between friends etc. Fast fwd the bill came and the first meal that was messed up was on the bill, it was brought to the waiters attention at which time the waiter said it's our policy here that if you order a meal and it's sent back even if it wasn't eaten it will appear on your bill 😲. So my sibling said if I'm going to pay for a meal I'd like to take what I haven't eaten with me togo. A few jokes between friends was made for the time which passed that food has been thrown away. Would you believe the waiter went to the back and after hearing what sounded like an obvious disagreement in another language and the rumbling of a plastic bag (trash can) the food that was brought out to me now over two hour ago magically appeared in an togo container. When asked how is this possible the restaurant manager told him that when someone order and send a meal back they hold it it the back in case the customer change their mind🤔. Don't know if this is a common practice at this location but if I could of given them a half...

I ordered $50 worth of food in this restaurant today which I was very disappointed. I have it ordered a order of barbecue spare ribs which was harder than a rock and my granddaughter lost her tooth trying to eat a rib. Also I ordered from the appetizer menu the jumbo shrimps tossed in the chef special sauce when the shrimp's arrived they were just fried shrimps with a Mayo spicy mayo sauce on the side. The rice and noodles that I ordered with the jumbo shrimp had no flavor whatsoever a few onions no egg no peas and carrots yes the shrimps were nice size cooked correctly but the food definitely had no flavor I was very disappointed. I called the restaurant and they were I had no concern about my issues the young gentleman started arguing with me and did not really care that I have an issue with my food. I will never ever again order from this restaurant I would not recommend it to anyone. I'm a professional cook for 34 years now and I do like feedback from my customers and I do not and will not be hurt by critical feedback. It will just help my business and correct any errors that may have taken place. I do care about what my customers eat and I do want them to come back to my establishment so I do take care in any kind of feedback and I make corrections and I also compensate my customers and not argue back with them. I don't know how this restaurant got four stars it must be they have their own people reading the place. Thank you but I do not recommend this place my granddaughter is going to bed hungry tonight...

The food is quite good, however I rate them 1 star because they DO NOT COMPLY WITH YOUR SIMPLE REQUESTS. I have ordered multiple lunches, dinners, combos, rolls and sashimi over SEVERAL YEARS, with every order I request more than 1 pair of chopsticks, they NEVER comply! I add "CHOPSTICKS MORE THAN 1 PAIR! MORE THAN 1 PERSON IS DINING" to each individual item ordered, yet they only put 1 pair of chopsticks in the bag! These are individual orders and I request for them to be placed in separate containers, yet they cram them all into one, leaving you to decipher which is which. The photo shows 2 different rolls, you go guess. I tip a MINIMUM of 25% to INSURE great customer service and delivery, yet they miss the mark each and every time (with the exception of delivery, that guy is FAST)! I will be taking my business elsewhere, soon.

A year ago I loved this place but it has gone downhill. I placed an order for chicken dumplings. They are like the frozen Ling Ling at ShopRite. The lady spoke fast and blamed me for ordering fried dumplings. The problem is their website gives you one choice to click on “chicken dumplings.” They were terrible and the flavor of the chicken and broccoli I ordered fell flat. Very disappointed and disappointed with the lady I spoke with. She gave me the run around and told me how I should order even though the options she said were available are not. I said the food was terrible and I wouldn’t be ordering again. She said a meaningless sorry and said that’s your choice, in other words stick it. There are better and many more Chinese restaurants in this area to order delivery. My suggestion to everyone is beware of their shady practices.

All restaurants: please stop using plastic straws with each glass of water. It is unnecessary. Straws cause pollution and kill fish and turtles. And the orchid dyed in blue color looks a bit like cyanide therefore not great for plating. Convenient location next to Quality Inn. Service is friendly and very fast including food turnaround. We ordered Thai red curry with chicken which is pleasing and has lovely, creamy, coconuty texture, slightly spicy and sufficient amount of steamed vegetables. The other meal we tried is Cho Cho Chicken, peppery brown sauce with deep fried chicken. Also pleasing. Portions are large. I am taking the rest for tomorrows lunch. We will be returning. That's something to say, considering we travel a lot and just had amazing food in Montreal.
