You know... After all the times I've been here, I don't think I've ever left it a review....

I took a day trip to Vermont to show someone some of new Englands best offerings and as is tradition, I hit Worthy Burger. Why is it tradition? Because my best friend 5 years ago brought me here after a long week of work, he called it the best burger he's ever had, and it was time I passed the knowledge to someone else.

The formula is simple.

Inspired menu, rotating taplist of Vermont's finest, cocktails. But it's just a burger? No. It's a worthy burger. It's worthy of the attention and praise.

Each burger is sitting on the most perfect fluffy, juice absorbing, condiment holding bun. Frankly, I don't want to know it's secrets, but I want to buy them, and have them for my own burgers at home.

The beef? Juicy, well seasoned and woodfired.

The way the burger is dressed? Everything you need, and nothing you don't.

They understand the humble burger, and elevate it to something that is worth traveling for. But it isn't just burgers, they offer poultry and fish. And the fries... Wagyu beef tallow fried, and seasoned perfectly. (Lemon caper aioli was killer by the way)

Listen I could yammer on all day about how this and that was perfect or the science behind the perfectly cooked yadda yadda.

Instead, I got the worthy burger. 6oz almanack farm patty. Cheddar, secret sauce, bibb lettuce and red onion on a bun.

Simply perfect. Classy, done correctly. Fist full of fries and a cold Hill Farmstead beer (God I love hill please PLEASE DISTRIBUTE 🥺) in my glass.

It's more than the average burger, out of a freight house, with rad staff, great food, and wonderful drinks.

Could not reccomend this place to a friend more. I'd bring my grandma, and her grandma, and her grandma. This is a New England treasure, and if you want to make the trip, maybe you'll find it worthy too.

Oh, also, thank you staff for the kindness and hospitality. We...

Literally on the other side of the tracks! Worth the trip off I-89. 9 or so miles off the interstate. Drive through South Royalton town center and passed Vermont School of Law. Scenic little NE town. Thankfully found this place on Yelp on the way from a ski trip further up north in VT. I always like to find places a little left-of-center and just a bit off the beaten path. Located in an old rail house alongside the tracks, this cool restaurant/pub is obviously a favorite with locals, as well as skiers & tourists passing through. Their tag line is "A craft beer & burger bar," and it does not disappoint. Rustic, diner-style feel in an old plank floored building. Order off the chalk board menu. Great burgers! Off the farm fresh! The grass fed Worthy Burger with blue cheese & caramelized onions was great. They serve a variety of local cheeses, local grass-fed beef & bacon, and a great selection of local Vermont beers, as well as other CA microbrews. Beer was cold and really smooth! I would have had another if we hadn't needed to get back on the road. Groovy feel with the locals. The poutine burger (you're still fairly close to Canada, eh?) with crispy potato nest and cheese curds sounded great, but I figured maybe not a great idea given I had a 3 hour drive south ahead of me. Though we didn't have dessert, a couple next to us said the deep fried bacon was amazing! Who wouldn't love bacon with more deep fried carbs added on, right?? Deep fried pistachio brownie sounded interesting too. House-made pickle plate and cut fries are great. We all enjoyed our lunch, and I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a fresh and local experience. Note: Listen up turtle-necked ski guy headed back to Boston. It's CASH ONLY, so don't be thinking about whipping out your AMEX, cowboy. Great burger place!!!!!!! For foodies & good beer...

Craving an exceptional burger, Worthy Burger is an absolute must-visit. This spot consistently delivers on flavor and quality, making it a local favorite.

The burgers and fries are simply outstanding. The patties are juicy and cooked to perfection, and even if you prefer a straightforward order like I do, you'll appreciate the quality. For those who like to customize, Worthy Burger offers a surprisingly wide array of options, ensuring there's something for every palate. For those with dietary needs, they offer delicious gluten-free buns, a huge plus that makes their fantastic burgers accessible to even more people.

Beyond the food, the atmosphere at Worthy Burger adds to the experience. During the warmer months, you can enjoy your meal at their outdoor seating, taking in the Vermont air. If you're looking for a slightly more sheltered option that still feels open, their screened-in porch is a fantastic choice.

The ordering system is straightforward and efficient: you simply order everything at the bar, and they'll bring your food right to your table. This casual, laid-back approach fits the vibe perfectly.

Worthy Burger is a fantastic spot for a delicious and satisfying meal. Whether you're a purist or love to experiment with toppings, and especially if you need a gluten-free option, you won't be disappointed.

Beer and cider...

I visited Worthy Burger after being told it had the best burgers in VT a few weeks after visiting the Three Penny Taproom in Montpelier and calling their burger one of the best I had ever had. The place was packed, the atmosphere was pleasant, the service was friendly and fast, and the burger was indeed good, but my upgraded cheddar, Buffalo, and ranch fries were the worst fries I had ever put into my mouth and almost ruined the entire meal. I had expected a drizzle of Buffalo, but instead, those fries were drenched to the point where I could not taste the fry, the cheese or the ranch. It was like pure vinegar and acid. The burger was good enough, but it did fall apart at the end. It was juicy, the bleu cheese and bacon were good, and my partner enjoyed his chicken sandwich. We also got their beignet-style donuts, which almost made up for the bad fries. I am giving the food four stars because my partner was so satisfied with his sandwich and the donuts. The burger was good, but it, and the meal as a whole, was not worth the 100 dollars I spent for the food and tips for two burgers, two small root beers, two upgraded fries and six donuts. For what I paid, Five Guys would have left me just as satisfied for a lot less money.

Just a heads up. This place is a smaller restaurant/pub. When we showed up, it was completely packed. Very little room to move. That being said, the line to order moved fast, and the order itself was perfect. The Hostess was very busy, and it was very hard just to ask for extra napkins and to clear off the table we had been sat at, that still had other people's glasses on it. The waitress that brought our food was excellent. Although there was a long wait for the food to arrive. She was accommodating and friendly. Even helping us with anything else we needed. Now, onto the food. The food was 5 stars all day! Hot, fresh, and delicious! The truffle fries were amazing. The burgers, chicken sandwich, and duck were fantastic. Drinks are small with a one size glass, but the barrel rootbeer was awesome. Pricing was a little pricey. But I can't say the food was not worth it. The portions were big! We had plenty of leftovers! Though it was a little off with the atmosphere. The food made up for the accommodations. Thanks!
