La Charra — Restaurant in Rusk

Went to eat.. had to wait on owner for drinks and menus.. when everything was set wife had an issue because we ordered a carne asada and fajitas and kid menu… long story short food arrived and carne asada for 16 bucks was not bigger than 3 to 4 inches… wife told the owner that she want pleased and owner started telling wife that she ate a bunch of chips and that she didn’t even charge those not we only had one basket no refills second owner started telling went back to kitchen came out and started egging on the situation saying she want gonna charge it but she ate chips but I paid for everything else but yelled and then when I told her it’s not ok as a owner to reply because quote I have a business good or bad u receive and don’t respond… she threaten with leaving a bad review and saying my husband knows the owner of ur business but I am the owner and never seen her husband… then threatens to call the cops because wife left after she kicked her out and slammed the door… I’m a Hispanic and regardless of anything you don’t make certain comments!! I won’t ever go back or recommend and. I do a lot of business in Rusk multi million buisness that I work with they’re and they will not be...

A pleasant surprise located in the heart of this small town with authentic dishes. Service was above par, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Lunch specials offered every day with (2) complimentary alcoholic beverages, beer or margarita, with purchase of entree. The rice and beans were the best I have had anywhere and the prices were very competitive. This restaurant is a must visit on my list and I will definitely go back to enjoy this cozy authentic Mexican...

I had the carnitas and oh my stars!!!! They are the best I have ever had. Soft without being mushy and oh so full of flavor.
