Maple and Hash — Restaurant in Rutland Township

Decided to come and give it a try now that they have been open for a bit. Loved the atmosphere. Was quoted 20 minutes to wait which confused me as there were several tables newly empty and lots of people finishing their meal but got seated at 12:32 after waiting only 5 minutes tops. The Menu looks great! Good variety but VERY confused. Maple and Hash. How in the world do they NOT serve Corned Beef Hash?? Sadly disappointed in that clear miss.

Our waitress was super sweet and very attentive. She takes our order at 12:40. Got the maple brown sugar latte and drinks - very tasty and came right away. Lovely chit chat with family until 1:38 and our food is no where to be seen and there is a wall of people at the kitchen line. Red is flashing all over the food board line up. Hey, it happens. Happy to see management step in, but they should have all along.

They bring everyone but our youngest food. He has to wait 5 more minutes for his, but eats a little bit of all of ours while waiting.

I’ll be honest. Other than my youngest liking his burger, we all disliked and were not impressed. Veggie skillet was more costly than competition and less food and flavor. Salmon and Pingree bennies were very disappointing. Hollandaise sauce was tasteless on both. While salmon was better, the Pingree was tasteless except for the two bites total that actually got a small piece of avocado. No seasoning anywhere.

Came out spending $114 (including the tip as our waitress was good and it wasn’t her fault) for a family of four for breakfast and left feeling ripped off and sad that our one family meal out for the week was disappointing.

There definitely wasn’t a shortage of staff that day. Things happen, we are patient - but man - if the food was lousy…. Three starts is only for the atmosphere, waitress and the potential of what it food be if they worked more on the flavor vs...

What a shame to have to rate it one star when it deserves zero stars! We (a party of 2) arrived today 5/2 around 10:15am and left within half an hour. Our server Brandon ruined our breakfast outing and overall appetite!!! The lack of professionalism from Brandon from was astounding. My uncle ordered a soup to start. The server abruptly said “HERE!” and set the plate down with a forceful thud—not quite a slam, but enough to feel dismissive. The gesture lacked basic courtesy and made the experience feel cold and unwelcoming. Shortly after Brandon read back our meal order. I ordered a Denver omelette with potatoes and a buttermilk pancake. My uncle ordered 2 eggs over easy with hash browns . Brandon came back with 2 cold eggs in a side dish plate. No hash browns. We told Brandon the dish was incomplete. He still had the audacity to ask “do you want the hash browns or not?” as if we were the ones causing an inconvenience. Instead of correcting the mistake properly, he came back with another small side dish plate of hash browns, and minutes later handed us an empty main course plate so we can assemble it together at our table!!! The service felt disrespectful, careless, condescending and at no point was an apology issued. My food was cold as well and it wasn’t until we were leaving that Brandon thought to bring over the syrup for my pancake. This wasn’t just bad service—it was downright disrespectful. The rudeness and carelessness completely ruined what should’ve been a simple, enjoyable breakfast. Instead of feeling like valued guests, we were treated like a nuisance. The experience was frustrating, embarrassing, and frankly infuriating. The place wasn’t even busy, which makes the laziness and attitude inexcusable. If this is how customers are treated during slow hours, it’s clear the restaurant has no pride in its service or regard for its patrons. We left angry and...

We have been waiting to try this restaurant and watched as they built. We finally did yesterday and it was so disappointing. We only waited about 10 minutes for a seat, which was not bad. The waitress was very nice and the restaurant was packed. We tried to look around at others food to get an idea of what to order but not many tables had food… it took more than 35 minutes to get our food. During this wait I used the bathroom, they have 3 gender sharing bathrooms with urinals on the wall. The one I was in was so dirty though I was happy I was not bringing a child with me as that urinal was so low it would be hard to keep them away from it let alone all the overspray area which runs into the toilet. Just gross! I would suggest they offer seat covers. When our food finally came I had specifically asked for “no onions, please” and my skillet was full of onions. My husbands plate was so cold the plate was not even warm. They took both our meals back and apologized. Ok, no worries, I thought, I’ll eat my side pancake. First, it was so cold the butter wouldn’t spread and once I cut into it I noticed the plate underneath was filthy dirty!
