Well... I'd love to give 5 stars due to the pleasant attitudes of MOST of the employees.,. With the exception of one host.. he always seems to have an attitude.. idk if it's because I come in with 4 kid's.. smaller kid's.. but oh well.. we always spend a minimum of at least 200 dollars.. we can take our business elsewhere .. Anyway.. I've been ordering the grilled chicken blt.. on grilled sourdough bread.. not seared .. grilled in butter.. Colby cheese... no tomato .. add onion .. The last 4 times I ordered this sandwich .. 4 out of 4 times it came out wrong.. once it wasn't on bread at all.. lol it was a bun.. next it wasn't the chicken tenderloins .. it was a big chicken patty.. it's just frustrating .. the waiters and waitresses strive to get my order right.. it's not their fault.. everything else comes out pretty good.. my fiancé recently ordered the hamburger steak.. it came out topped with some kind of garlic butter .. it was delicious.. I'll be ordering that next time since I can't get my sandwich made correctly .. I think the last time it was made the right way,. I was there with my Nanny.. she passed away about 15 years ago.. I did really enjoy the Christmas decor this year! I scored a few Christmas presents at great prices! And loaded with GLITTER!! WIN-WIN.. And the reindeer blow mold... sooo cute! I'll see if I can find a pic of my last sandwich from cracker barrel.. since it was a place I'd frequent with my Nanny,. I won't give up anytime soon . . I'd give anything to have one more dinner or lunch with her there.. ♡

We love Cracker Barrel Restaurants! Your experience begins at the front door with a "porch" loaded with rocking chairs. Although these are for sale, go ahead and cop-a-squat and get in a game of over-size checkers while you wait for the rest of your party to arrive, or just to settle your meal before hitting the road again. Moving on to the next experience, as you walk in the front door you are transformed back to yester-year as you enter their "general store". Look up to see all kinds of vintage goodies hanging on the ceiling. They also have a section of candies from years gone by. As you proceed in to the main dining area you continue to experience a warm homey feeling as you will see the same vintage goodies all on the walls and ceilings and the floor is a creaky wood like you would find in an old barn. If you like home style cooking you'll enjoy the menu options here. They start you off with a plate of comlimentary homemade biscuits and rolls, which go great with one of their many homemade soups. It seems like they change their menu selection two or three times a year and there is always something delicious to choose from. Their homemade flavored teas and ades are great too. Their meal portions are a nice size and their prices are fair. We travel quite a bit and have stopped at several Cracker Barrels along our way and we haven't been disappointed yet!

Me and my fiancé love Cracker Barrel, the food and shop. Our experience has always been great . Except for this past Sunday ,at this location. There is a short old women , with glasses , that has serious issues here. She should not be a waiter or in the service industry period. All we did was ask for our biscuits before our meal. Her response was “it will come out with your meal” Ok From here it got worse, never checked on us, and when it was time to leave asked for a to go cup of coffee,” I would love to get you a to go cup of coffee” extremely back handed and passive aggressive. She then wrote a lovely note with a heart on our receipt. You would think I was asking her to do her job or something…. I don’t spend money here to put up with her crap. And I intend to take this up with management next Sunday when we go back.

Well this time the food was hot which was great, well my food was anyway. A member of our party ordered steamed broccoli, well they may have set it on a steamer but the broccoli was raw and cold, it wasn't cooked and all. Broccoli changes color when it's cooked. This was raw! How the server didn't c it??? I don't know other than to say that he was not engaged. You could tell that they were overwhelmed. That's the second time we went there with the same issue. One really strange thing was that half out table got their food. Then the waiter said to us that didn't that he'd bring cornbread and biscuits so that we'd have something to eat while we wait. That should have been brought out for all of us after we ordered. So then after the others we're done we got our food. It was like two different tables. No apologies, no recognition just here is your food to the first half of us(there was 8 of us) , here's some biscuits for you guys while u wait, and I'll be back later. So, first time I went food was cold and waitress was overwhelmed, second time some food was cold, waiter was overwhelmed, and the service was off. So when the food is hot and it's not very crowded then it's a good place to go. They don't take reservations. Not that that would change anything anyway. Oh and the roast beef was DISGUSTINGLY GRIZZLY, half left on the dish. Again the waiter should have noticed that he hardly ate anything but he said nothing, again not engaged. Unfortunately it's my granddaughters favorite place. She gets the same thing all the time, country chicken and Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes (carb lover)I got the steak tips(but they were just pieces of steak to big and also to full of grizzle to consume), shrimp, and a third thing that I can't remember so that's how unimpressive it was. It was some kind of combo dish. Oh, I also got a pancake which was hot and delicious so good...

My friend and i went for breakfast this morning (4/28/25). She ordered a pancake meal that ended up having to be remade because they made her the wrong kind. I ordered the grandpa’s breakfast, which came with biscuits and gravy, eggs, a side, and choice of fried steak or chicken. I ordered the chicken. My meal came out and i took a bite of my chicken before i realized that it was undercooked. I’ve never had an issue with undercooked chicken in a restaurant before, so i wasn’t really paying attention. The waitress took the chicken (and whatever else was on that plate) back, to get me a cooked piece. The second piece came out, it was half the size of the first piece, definitely over fried, and was already cut in half (probably to check if it was cooked, but i guess they don’t have meat thermometers at cracker barrel?).

I couldn’t imagine if it was a kid who ordered this that didn’t know any better and ate the whole undercooked piece. I’m usually someone who can eat a steak that’s practically still mooing, but when it comes to poultry, i definitely don’t mess around with temp. This is a very big issue that needs addressing, as someone could get terribly ill from this. Hoping i don’t get sick from that one bite.

I do want to thank the waitress that made everything right. None of this was her fault, and she made sure i got a cooked piece in the end. I’ve been to this location a few times with no issues, and frequent at the Hamburg location. But undercooked chicken is...
