The jury is still out on this place.

I didn't know there was a restaurant in Pocket that had a full bar, so gave this place a try for dinner with a girlfriend. Here's a summary:

  1. This is the only place in Pocket that has a full bar. The drinks are straight forward and run you around $13-18 per drink.
  2. Fish Tacos - didn't have very much fish and the rice was severely undercooked. The size of the fish taco platter wasn't very big.
  3. Burger - my friend said it was good and all of the food was nice and hot when it came out. There wasn't anything special about the food that made it worth the price though.
  4. Chocolate Cake - this was the absolute best thing I ate the entire night. I would go back just for the cake!
  5. Customer Service - there wasn't any shortage of staff, they are nice and friendly, but that also can be problematic. They engage with different tables and patrons, that it can be hard to flag them down if you want something.
  6. Small Business Friendly - first and third Thursday's of the month, they support small business pop-ups to setup shop outside the restaurant.

Conclusion: It's expensive, I wasn't planning on spending $50 for dinner and a single drink at a casual restaurant, but it's also cute and I really want to support small, local business. Would I come here again? Maybe....but probably just for the cake or their happy hour when it's more...

Oh my goodness, it's a bar/ restaurant in a strip mall again, that my friends, just raved about, so we went to dinner... I had a soup, cause I was feeling a little under the weather, and it was OK, we also had mussels and the pulled pork... A pitcher of margaritas was consumed and something called a Paloma, with Tequila and a bottle of Grapefruit soda, no Grapefruit garnish or nuthin', and no lime or Grapefruit juice I. It, but still considering to be a Poloma, without the bang‼️

Overall, I thought it was not that happening for a Saturday night there, and I kept getting this plywood wall vibe, of a bar I've been to in East Oakland, that I never wanted to go to...

The bar seems like a nice place to hang out and make fun of, the place being in a strip mall, but I'm not getting my mind blown here, maybe next time when I sit at the bar alone, and figure this Bodega place out, and where there trying to go here, as a car pulls up with bright headlights, shining into...

Where do I start? My dining experience was a delightful journey through flavors. The strawberry margarita was exceptional—perfectly balanced between the sweetness and a kick of alcohol, I savored every last sip. The mojito was just as impressive, refreshing and seemingly endless.

The beef empanadas were a standout, delivering a burst of flavor in every bite. The fish taco? Beyond delicious! The fish was perfectly seasoned and wonderfully non-greasy, allowing the flavors to shine through. The jerk chicken wings were good, though I felt they could use a bit more seasoning for an extra kick.

Our server was attentive and provided excellent customer service from start to finish. Plus, the daily happy hour from 3-6 is a fantastic bonus! I will definitely be back to enjoy more of these...

Unique atmosphere and interesting menu. I was in a hurry so just got the Smash burger. I would like to come back and try some other food because it all looked pretty good. The burger was fine and my only real complaint was the price. This just didn't hit me as a $20 burger (plus tax and tip). Yea everything is expensive now. I get that, but this seemed a bit steep. What do I know though, they had more exotic things to try and I probably should have. Fries were good. Service was on the ball. Quick, friendly and left me alone to eat. Look forward to trying other menu items in the future.

The Bodega Kitchen and Cocktails is a must-visit restaurant, serving up classic Puerto Rican dishes alongside creative American fusion cuisine. Their menu features weekly specials that never disappoint, and the craft cocktails are just as impressive as the food. Not only does the kitchen deliver incredible flavors, but the talented bartenders also elevate the experience. With excellent service and a vibrant atmosphere, this spot is a top recommendation. Don’t miss out—come try it for yourself!
