So NO, you really can't sit down inside here like at a regular restaurant..., (though there actually IS limited outdoor Patio seating, it's "INSIDE" of another business, but sitting down is not what they do. What they DO, they do like no other! And they do it VERY WELL. And no matter HOW many times I've told myself that I'll wait til I get home to eat .., I've YET to win that battle with myself. The moment I "sit" down in my car, I tell myself I've met the "sitting" threshold or requirement or whatever, but the aroma of the food, fresh, hot, seasoned to Unique Perfection Home? This Torta, hasn't a snowballs chance in a California fire of making it "home". No no no no NO, even the torta itself doesn't expect to be around that long. Kinda sad, the torta KNOWING it only has moments to exist, but "that", is nothing compared to the Taco's. I've seen people on multiple occasions, opening them up in line, or walking out the door. And you're gonna hate it, but tha Burrito s? Might as well do like everybody else and get started when it's handed to you. It's the EXACT SAME Experience of being "Transported" is like the best way to describe it. But you're mind wonders and you try to "envision" whose mom or Tia or Uncle came up with it. You can taste? The countryside, the culture the air through the preparation and combination of spices and ingredients. And it's waaaayyyyy more than just cilantro!!! Just a matter of time before they run the gas station part outta business. Lines are starting to form..., more and more. Probably shouldn't post this..., I ain't never been greedy or selfish, and they ABSOLUTELY HAVE EARNED IT! But you know the guy feeling that you're something shooting yourself in the foot? You just KNOW if you'da just kept...
Read moreI like it when places stick to what they are good at, and El Cora Birria is a perfect example of this. No need to have 10 different meats, they just have beef/res and goat/chivo, and thats all you need for choices here!
You know you are in for something good, when the parking lot is packed, a 4ft tall speaker (the kind with the flashing lights and a mixer built into the top), thumping away playing corrido songs. And the taqueria is located inside a gas station/check cashing place.
the tacos were crispy and had a good flavor, I knocked it down one star only due to the fact I like my queso tacos a little cheesier than how they came, but they were still really good, and the green salsa they provided took it to another level. If Yelp gave a option of a half star this place would be a solid 4.5 instead of a 4.
The consume was delicious, and about 1/4 of the cup was shredded beef on the bottom of it. we saved ours to finish off later on. We will 100% be back, I really want to try the...
Read moreFirst and last time coming here. They are slow and their cleanliness is nowhere near professional. A worker came straight from eating at one of their tables to putting on gloves and preparing food. Didn't bother to wash her hands at all. The same goes for the cashier who went straight to preparing food except she didn't even have gloves on. Their laughing and talking over the food while not wearing masks. In the middle of a pandemic no less and besides the fact its just nasty to talk over someone's food. The same one who didn't wear gloves also scratched her head and went right back to preparing food. The actually cooked rubbed her face with the back of her hand and never once changed gloves. This place is disgusting and it's only a matter of time before someone gets sick from their food if they haven't already. Plus they're pricey. For two tacos and consume it was $18. The price does not justify the portion size. I got the same size consume for a dollar at a different restaurant....
